Re: Retro Arcades in Budget Holiday Camps/Parks

I found a really good one on the Isle Of Wight at Ryde on the seafront, ironically whilst on a Sun £9.50 holiday in 2015. Here's a youtube video (not mine!)

Had quite a few 'older' games, I have a video somewhere of my son playing Ms Pacman2 very badly!

Re: What Comics did you read as a kid?

Usual ones like The Beano, 2000 AD, Spiderman and I have a complete run somewhere of the 400-odd issues of the UK Transformers comic. I also have a collection of the Thunderbirds comics somewhere too. One I need to find is my Spiderham comic, only have one issue but its brilliant! Peter Porker is Sp...

Re: Your go-to MAME games

I only have a MAME emulator on my S7 phone (Mame4Droid Reloaded) at the moment, but I usually only play Chase HQ anyway.... I do have SF EX+Alpha as well but its difficult to play on a phone without a Bluetooth controller. I do have one but its crap, so will be upgrading that soon!

Amiga 500+ - Christmas, low expectations of getting one after being told it was just too much money, my brother and I were shocked to get this! I thought it was a scalectrix! Amiga 500+ Cartoons Classics pack with Bart vs The Space Mutants, Captain Planet, Deluxe paint 3, Lemmings and a couple of ot...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Watched 'Forbidden Planet' last night on Blu-ray, really enjoyed it. It was nice to watch a 50's sci-fi 'B' movie that wasn't that cheesy and to actually have some money spent on the sets and costumes. And of course, the introduction of 'Robby the Robot'. It was a little odd seeing Leslie Nielsen in...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I am in 'negotiations' with a friend to buy his Commodore C64C. Its a NightMoves pack, has the joysticks, powerpack, tape deck, box and the C64C poly box, but sadly none of the games. The keyboard is missing one key (the 'clear/home' key I think), but its cleaned up quite well. I was thinking of off...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

The Punisher - the 2004 version with Thomas Jane as the title character. I had seen the Dolph Lungren version(which I thought was okay). This however, well - it's bit meh. I can't say I got into it. It has got John Travolta hamming it up as the bad guy. There's a film from 2008 as well, and I think...

Re: Are you a good or poor gamer (new or old generation?)

About average with a high amount of pure luck on most games. I play a lot of COD online, and some people on there are just so hardcore it scares me. If I manage to find a lobby where I come out on top, I stay in it! LOL! Some games I just plain suck at. I love Bomberman but I'm crap at it! Guess I'm...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I started watching Logan's Run in bed the other night but started nodding off, so still have that to watch all the way through. Its a typical 70's sci-fi film with lots of weirdness so far, think I may have to watch it on the main TV though to fully appreciate (or hate!) it. Saw Rogue One a couple o...

Re: Best vehicles in games

The Stunt Car in Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga, that car could take a beating! The Batmobile in Batman on the Amiga, firing out the grapple hook to help it corner! The 'Porsche 928' that's not a Porsche 928 in Chase HQ, just because its a cool car! And if only all cars had a slow and fast gearbox set...
