Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I bought Ultraman for the Famicom disc from eBay for £8, played it once and decided I need to practice my 8-bit skills a lot more, so packed it away with the Famicom into the container for a rainy day!

Re: What anime are you watching thread

Yes! I recently saw Akira in the cinema with the Japanese Dub and it strangely made more sense, its just annoying that you have to read the subtitles and miss some of the amazing animation. This will be added to the collection. Its an old series, but I'm really into Space Adventure Cobra. Since I bo...

Re: Arcade Models - Now Taking Orders

Tron cab all received and very well packaged with loads of protective layers! My brother is VERY happy with it, TRON is a big favourite of his. Automan is happy with it too, he couldn't wait to have a go! Thank You!

VERY happy to find a Sharp Twin Famicom in Playnation Games Croydon for £130, guy threw in a copy of Green Beret and its had a new belt fitted to the drive so works perfectly. I suck at Green Beret though, so if you guys have any recommendations for games I must own, I'd love to hear!

Re: The anti-what grinds your gears thread.

I went go-karting with some work friends last night, had a blast. Having never been before (how did that happen?!) I was pleasantly surprised how I did. I didn't even manage to crash, got the back-end out on a few corners, held my nerve pretty well! And 3 abreast into a corner was an experience too!...

Re: Discuss section - 167

My nan bought me a pretty obscure platform game on the Amiga called Nicky Boom, don't think it cost very much but gave me hours of entertainment! Whenever he opened a chest and gold spilled out, he would shout 'YEEAAHHH!!!' so before every opening of a chest, me or my brother would shout something l...

Always Chase HQ, regardless of format. Its horribly flawed but for some reason I love it! Having it on a Mame Emulator on my phone has made my life complete!

Re: Top Gear reboot Mk. II

As I wasn't a fan of the shouty Chris Evans period, I actually quite enjoyed this episode. Does seem to be a bit of chemistry between them, Matt LeBlanc seems happier with these 2 now as well. Time will tell I guess....

Re: Area's of games you could never get past

The shopping mall section on Bart vs The Space Mutants on the Amiga, there's a part where you have to jump on invisible blocks across what I remember being like lava? I never got past that and usually got fed-up by then hearing Bart screaming 'Eat My Shorts!' for the 90th time.....

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I found 3 Vectrex games in a shop in Croydon so I bought them for £40! I can't remember which at the moment mind! It also came with 2 inlays for Minestorm as well which mine was missing so happy about that! I found the NES 'Playing with Power' book for £7 in The Works in Sutton so grabbed that too! ...

I believe he is the only actor to be killed by a Terminator, Predator and an Alien! I also loved him in True Lies as the car salesman/fake secret agent! Truly great loss to the world, RIP Mr Paxton

Re: From The Forum issue 166 - First Amiga Encounters

There used to be a sweet shop on my way home from secondary school that sold computers and games as a side line (ironic now they only sell computers!) It was called Sweethaven, and they would often have a machine set-up behind the counter running demos and games. This was my 1st expose to all things...
