Re: do you buy physical music

Yeah I remember that! In my old Our Price they had like a tube with cd players built into it in one area of the store with the latest releases, and you could have a listen to decide if you wanted to buy or not. I also like having a thumb through there cd's to find that rare cd, even though they were...

Re: do you buy physical music

I download a lot to see if I like it, if I do, I buy it on cd usually. Last cd's I bought were Paramore's new album, Against the Current and one other that escapes me now. I used to buy loads of singles when I was at college, mostly dance/trance stuff, but the cd single is pretty much dead these day...

Re: What other forums do you post at?

This forum and the canteen for my old-school vibes and news. All the other forums are for other hobbies and stuff I like, mostly VW and RC stuff. I'm on a few hi-fi related forums too, nothing of any great interest really!

Re: Best and worst Multi Loaders

Rise of the Robots on the Amiga. 10 discs?! Really? Even with a 2nd drive it was tedious, and then the massive let down when you actually played it as well......

Re: do you ever go to the cinema?

Think the problem with reshowing old films is a lot of people would of seen it countless times already Im not bothered abut watching Terminator 2 in 3D Its the whole experience of seeing a favourite film on the big screen though. Like I said, not all films need 3d releases, it doesn't add to a lot ...

Re: do you ever go to the cinema?

There is something about watching a film on a proper screen, plus being able to have the sound loud without neighbours banging on the walls is a bonus too. Its an atmosphere that's hard to capture at home, even with the right gear. The only downside is the cost of going, plus snacks is like re-mortg...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Exactly my point! I know eBay is generally overinflated with regards to prices, but the average Neo Geo game is in the £250+ region, so I'll never be able to buy any (Kizuna Encounter is right out the window! LOL!). Plus as its hand-held, I can play it on the go! And if I can find any, more games ar...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Based on that I am glad I bought one when it was new for about £120 plus the mega pack. Since then I bought a rewired SD card with all the Neo Geo (and other) Roms installed :D Yep I wish I had bought one when they were first released, hind-sight is a censored! Where did you buy the modded sd-card?

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I did have a quick look on eBay before I took the plunge and the cheapest one was around £300 ish for a boxed one and bidding was up to £140 for one that didn't work 100%. Neo Geo's seem to fetch strong money these days, and I doubt I could afford any games for it. I know you can convert the MVS car...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I lucked-out on Saturday whilst shopping in Crawley. Some complete fool traded a Neo-Geo X Gold into Cash Convertors, it was sitting in their window screaming at me, so I bought it! £220 lighter though, but boxed and complete. I'm a happy gamer!

Re: Your Recent 'Other' Purchases

Quite possibly one of the coolest 'Lego' styled kits ever, Xingbao's Kaneda Bike from Akira. £36 shipped from Aliexpress. Awesome looking but the most frustrating thing I've ever built in my life, and I've survived Ikea furniture instructions. If you look at it funny, something falls off, breathe ne...

Re: Reasons to get a PS3

I love my PS3, it has all the games I love playing, the online is pretty stable (when its not being hacked!) and I don't feel the need at the moment to replace my PS3 with a PS4, though my son keeps badgering me to make the swap! I find the X-Box, be it original or 360, a bit soulless, too grown-up ...
