Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

Has anybody been playing the Battlefield 1 beta, I am enjoying it far more than I thought I would. I am still playing Destiny two years after its original release, I haven't put as many hours into a game it's quite remarkable it's still so popular, with the new expansions release two weeks today my ...

Re: Revisiting the Dreamcast

Thanks for the replies, managed to get myself a copy of Sega Rally so will be playing that at some point. My most wants gaming wise will be fighters and shooters which seemingly are the ones that are the most expensive. I did get a few cdr's with the bundle one being Cosmic Smash which is a delight ...

Revisiting the Dreamcast

Picked one up at my local carboot with a few games, I haven't played one for over ten years but I'm enjoying it big time. Been playing Crazy Taxi and Virtual Tennis, I need some multiplayer games recommending for me and my son to play together. We now do retro gaming Tuesday nights so I want to get ...

Agent X by Mastertronic on the Spectrum, the music was sublime back in the day. I used to sit for hours just listening to it, I did the same with Monty on the Run on the C64

Re: Looking back at the Original Xbox

People running a modded Xbox need to either set the machine to ntsc via visionary or the region programme I can't remember the name. Then you can set the machine to 720p then everything emulation wise like coin ops, visionary, etc look fantastic via a component cable. I just wish I could get my hand...

She's RGB scary help

I bought myself a RGB scart cable for my pal snes off eBay, set it all up. When I turn my console on the image appears fine then it fades to almost black and has no sound. Any ideas what the problem is, the scart socket on my TV is definitely RG. Enabled. The cable cost £7 delivered, I'm guessing he...

This week I am mostly playing Super Star Wars on Snes and Destiny on Xbox One, will soon be starting Super Empire Strikes Back and Broken Sword 5 if Destiny The Taken King will allow me to.

Re: Biggest System Flaws

Sega not realising the gaming community was ready to go mainstream and into the 3d realm, it maybe a 2d powerhouse but for 3d it's awful. Sony nailed it with the PS1 and virtually signed the Saturn death warrant overnight when they released it. The PS3 releasing with the Sixaxis with no vibration wa...

Re: NTSC vs PAL, the poll

NTSC is objectively better for retro console gaming but if you were growing up on PAL systems and if you don't want to play the importing game it makes sense to be accommodated to it. It's a bit like RGB output - objectively superior to component and S-video but some are satisfied with "normal" out...
