Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Looking forward to the final episode of 'Hidden' with Philip Glenister on BBC1 this week. It was a bit slow to get into at first, but did really enjoy the last couple of episodes.

Re: Today

Today I finally had a go at Saturn emulation on my ageing PC for Shining Force III. Found it actually wasn't as bad as I expected (well, acceptable) - so think I may get hunting on eBay for Scenarios 2 & 3 of this game which were never released outside of Japan, get the discs patched via the 'SF3 Tr...

Re: 1 bullet, 1 celebrity.......

I know I used my one bullet earlier in the thread - but I've just remembered Nick Griffin appeared on my telly yesterday evening on the news, so if I could possibly turn the clock back .... Utterly vile, obnoxious, bigoted sh*tbag who time and again single-handedly shows the BNP up for what they rea...

Re: 1 bullet, 1 celebrity.......

Anybody who thinks they deserve celebrity status because they've married/shagged/had an affair with somebody in the public eye is well deserving of that bullet. Heather Mills for me - and I can't really put it any better than the above! :) (except maybe to add celebrity status and "millions of poun...

Yes, good old Ade!
Had a couple of mates who'd want to come back to mine after primary school almost daily to play it - a game featuring copious amounts of farting, p*ssing, swearing etc was always going to be a winner for us bunch of 9 year-olds!

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

'Shinobi X' arrived today, a title I've been after for a while (as a bit of a Shinobi fan) as it appears to be another one of the rarer Saturn games that goes for silly money online. Finally picked up a complete copy for what I think is a pretty decent price apart from the box coming apart (nothing ...

Re: Today

Today....well, you know you're truly well-established in an NHS job when an elderly gentleman walks by and makes a 'w*nker' gesture at you through the window. Badge of honour.

Zub - making the long ardous journey across ten planets trying to find the 'eye of Zub' for the king, finally realising it was in your pocket all the time, and making the long journey back only to be executed at dawn for your trouble.

Re: Bands/Artists that should call it a day....

The only band I'd ever put in a thread like this is Queen. Freddie was such a massive part of their sound that there really is no point continuing without him. Anything, absolutely anything, that Queen release now is always going to be a pale shadow of what they once produced. I'd always thought th...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Another nice cheap eBay Saturn bundle this week. A few titles that either aren't my bag or I've got the Playstation versions which I'll stick back on there in my own joblot - but highlights for me are Panzer Dragoon, Manx TT, Need for Speed, Fighting Vipers, Virtual Hydlide ... and it's also nice to...

Re: 2 hour completion - which game?

It took me 2 hours to get to the final boss of Revenge of Shinobi (Mega Drive) for the first time earlier this week. The next day I got to the final boss in less than an hour and won. Of course, I had been playing the game for the past two weeks. :) Great game, by the way. My favourite SHinobi alon...
