Re: Beavis And Butthead

Loved it back in the day, on the occasions I could manage to stay awake long enough to see it! (used to be on about 2/3am)
Haven't really seen it again since I was at school, imagine it's a bit dated now.

Re: Favourite character inactivity animations

'Boogerman' (MD / SNES) had a couple of pretty funny ones.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

On a similar note - several bits broken off the centres of CD jewel cases (that hold the disc in place) off Amazon or wherever before you've even opened the shrink wrapping - new disc no doubt getting scratched with everything moving around in there

Re: Final Fight or Streets Of Rage?

Definitely Streets of rage 2 for me - although always loved Final Fight as well. Very, very well done to Shinobi if you can 1CC the game - respect! I'm usually dead before the end of the moving train scene!

He probably meant quite a lot of his cassettes had the Amstrad version of the game on one side and the Speccy version on the other?

Re: Today

Today I've done sod-all except stroll down WHSmiths to see what book offers they might have on, and maybe make a start on some present-buying. Left with only this month's RG and volume 4 of the GamesTM retro bookazine (was chuffed to see a new one of those out) - oh well ..... still plenty of time! ...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

^ Bloody superb night ta - made sure I was nice and close to the stage and had a bit of a sore throat today from all the singing along! Personally would have liked to hear a couple more oldies rather than just all the later heavier stuff (I guessed that must have been partly down to that Donington 1...

Re: Whats your favourite SNK fighter?

Overall I'd have to say Samurai Shodown 2 for me - although I also loved Art of Fighting 3 for its brilliant graphics and character animation. KOF98 was another one I used to put quite a bit of time into.

Re: Video Game Jokes anyone?

Some c*nt wearing a Sonic the Hedgehog face mask came in and robbed my jewellery store last night - among other things he made off with a hundred gold rings. I'm going to kill the f*cker.
....Twice, if I have to.

I wouldn't mind seeing the reactions of the Dragon's Den panel to that one!

Re: First thing you ever bought online?

Think it was just a pack of blank CD-R's off Maplin's - but do remember being really chuffed at having discovered my crappy 'Solo' bankcard I had at the time could actually be used to buy stuff on the internet. I'd always just assumed it wouldn't be accepted.
