Re: What are you currently playing?

Currently switching back and forth between Zelda OOT (N64) and the original Shining Force (MD). Absolutely loving the Zelda, first time playing it and can see why it's so highly regarded as one of the best games. Superb :)

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Chucking items in the shopping basket I wouldn't have bought if they weren't on a big display saying "half-price" or "buy one get one free" offer - then getting home and finding on the receipt it's not actually implemented on their system and the gits have charged full price for the lot  Co-op...

Re: Your "To play" pile

A huge PS1 and Saturn pile here due to buying a number of eBay joblots for those systems, knowing there were one or two games in each I'd enjoy and thinking I'll get around to trying out the others at some point. What's perhaps more embarrassing is the 'to finish' pile. Lost count of the number of a...

Re: Street Fighter 25th Anniversary

It has to be a remake of the original, surely. Street Fighter II has already been milked to death over and over by Capcom even back in the day never mind since.

Another vote for the PS1 Tomb Raider games from me - can't get into those at all, maybe it's a case of just had to be there at the time.

Re: Why is there a stigma attached to turn based games?

Occasionally I'll get into a discussion of video games with people at work. They're all going on about "being" Rooney in some football game or graduating to major vice corporal in some WWII shooter. When asked what I'm playing, I almost always say Civilization V. Most of the time they'll not know w...

Re: Missed classics

Since there's bugger all on telly this evening, think I shall probably get comfortable in the chair and finally start Zelda OOT (N64 version) for the first time after having it sitting around for about six months! Only played Link to the Past before (which I enjoyed every minute of), so looking forw...

Re: The anti-what grinds your gears thread.

Great thread dste :) - Time spent meeting up and having a couple of beers with my dad, who's far more like a best mate or brother. - Waking up thinking 'b*llocks, hope I ain’t overslept', then realising there's actually a good couple of hours in bed still to go. - The lovely aroma when opening a new...
