Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

An orange Gamecube. It's Japanese so I'll have to mod it to play my US games. I'll probably just do the simple solder mod rather than install a switch, as I don't have much interest in playing Japanese games. Also a Wavebird controller, Tales of Syphononia (PAL) and MGS: Twin Snakes (NTSC) for the G...

Re: Coronavirus

The number of cases was always bound to increase once we increased testing, I'm not any more alarmed. And since deaths have apparently been misattributed to Covid, I'm not sure I'd trust any statistics at this point. Sigh... Public Health England's review shows that there will be minimal changes in...

Re: Coronavirus

I hit post, but hadn't finished  Looks like some places (Belgium, Greece, Spain) cases are rising and lockdown measures are coming back in. We're certainly a long way from what I consider dark days in April and May when the daily death figure was floating around the 1000 mark for a few weeks....

Too many people seem to be picking games they didn't like instead of games that are actually flawed...
Surely since they don't like them they perceive them to be flawed.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Carrion came out yesterday. I may actually not wait for a sale on this one. Watch the trailer if you've not already seen it, looks right up my alley. https://youtube.com/watch?v=CrrpI5wdUgc It does look good. I'll wait for a sale since my backlog is immense, but Ive made a mental note to pick it up...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=unF6ICX39vQ&feature=emb_title There was also this, seems like something id play Yeah I've got my eye on this one too. Apparently it's out in November. People are moaning there's no more games this year but you look beyond the "AAA" titles there is some decent lookin...

Re: What's the most iconic retro game that's actually rubbish?

There is no way Pac Man or Tetris are rubbish but I can see why they may not appeal to everyone. It may be because I'm awful at both games, but I just find them to induce a kind of panic when they speed up that I just don't find fun. Tetris is without question the most overrated game I can think of...

Re: What's the most iconic retro game that's actually rubbish?

Mario 64, yeah it was a game that inspired clones, but I hated it, had more fun with Mystical ninja 64 PacMan, same mazes, just faster, copy paste. Donkey Kong, few levels repeated, no variation This could apply for a lot of games of that era. I do think it's slightly overrated, but far from rubbis...

Never been a fan of Pacman, and Tetris must be the most overrated game of all time.

Re: Coronavirus

So many questions about this. What is the definition of a suitable face covering? How will this be enforced? Are shops supposed to report every instance to the police, who then have to show up in person to arrest the maskless criminal? Will the police and the courts have the resources to deal with t...
