Re: Gamecube - your favourite title and collecting

I forgot to mention Twilight Princess - amazing game. So glad to play it without all the waggly Wii crap that the more high-profile version forces you to use. Another of my 'cube faves. Yeah, I got the Gamecube version for the same reason, I didn't want the controls spoiling the experience for me i...

Re: Console manufacturing...

I know what you mean. You'd think the mobile phone manufacturers would be able to produce all manner of cool PSP and DS varients. The Panasonic Q (Gamecube/DVD player) was very cool but also limited by it's price, and that it was only available in Japan I believe. Shame. I do think though had they m...

I guess Boris from Goldeneye didn't make the cut, he was a bit of a rotter though.

Re: Do you have too many games to play?

Yeah sort of. I don't have the biggest collection but I do often buy games to play in the future, rather than immediately. I know I'll play them, but not sure exactly when, but as most of them are keepers there's no rush really. I'm currently finishing POP: Two Thrones, after which I still have to f...

Re: Syndicate

Yeah I remember it, loved it even though I wasn't very good at it, tried playing it again a couple of years ago on the pc.

It's begging for a DS port though perhaps the screen is a bit small. Online battles could be a gaming phenomenon if the DS could handle it.

Re: Name that game or console that you aspire to own

I'd love to have one of those portable/handheld Gamecube mods that some clever people make.

How awesome would it be to be seen playing Melee or Windwaker on the bus on one of them? :D

Re: Skies of Arcadia GC

It was the random battles that got me too, and that was on the Gamecube version, that and the fact that I had played about 30 hours without any ending in sight, I guess I thought I'd never finish it so i gave up on it. I'm glad I gave it another go as it does have an awesome, epic story. Also as you...

Re: Games that start great and get progressively worse

To me, Warrior Within is the result of the Marketing Dept getting hold of The Sands of Time and wanting to sell more copies. So it went all dark and violent, and tried way too hard to appeal to the "Cool" brigade. The same brigade it has to be said that change their phones, clothes and shoes every ...

Re: Greatest Sci Fi Film?

The Phillip K.censored stories are great but they've been given mixed treatment on film, Minority Report was good, but for me Will Smith is a bit too "bombastic" and his personality overbears I Robot. I, Robot is Isaac Asimov. The movie is nothing like the book, but that seems to be the case when A...

Re: Greatest Sci Fi Film?

Star Wars and The Matrix jump to mind immediately, Matrix is one of the greatest films ever imo combining entertainment and meaning. Equilibrium gets the poor man's Matrix tag but I still enjoyed it alot. The Phillip K.censored stories are great but they've been given mixed treatment on film, Minori...

Re: Which interests and hobbies have you lost interest in?

I do still buy those double pack DVDs of events from the late 80s, early 90s though. That's the golden era right there, I can watch and enjoy any match if Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan/Jesse Ventura are on commentary. I still watch wrestling old and new but I don't like a lot of the current stuf...

Yeah I'd say so, you lucky devil you.

I say reasonable compared to the silly prices some people want and will pay.

Poor nesmaster must be sick with envy by now, sorry nesmaster.
