Re: Gamecube - your favourite title and collecting

I mentioned Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy in another thread and that reminded me I need to play it again as I accidently overwrote my save file 10 hours in last year and didn't have the heart to go through all that right away. Just started playing it again and it's not a bad Zelda clone at all. I'd sa...

Re: What games are you looking forward to next year?

Zelda: Skyward Sword 8) , first and foremost. Though frankly I would wait until 2012 so long as they get it spot on. Also looking forward to Okamiden on DS, Xenoblade and The Last Story if they release them over here, and of course the 3DS if I get one. I also look forward to playing some Marvel vs ...

Re: The BEST 2D Platform games of ALL TIME - LIST

Yoshi's Island. :D I went off 2D platformers and 2D games in general for quite a while, but having just picked up Yoshi's Island for the first time fairly recently, it's really shown me what I had been missing and reminded me how much fun, beautiful and clever 2D platformers can be. So much so that ...

Re: re releases remakes and portmania

At Least Nintendo had the sense not to charge £30-35, but I dare say it'll probably be on ebay for that in a few years time due to the "limited/collector's" nature of it, which will make £20 look a bargain.

Re: re releases remakes and portmania

the lure of easy money is what worries me becaus eits so easy to slap an lazy port of an old game on to a new console and slap a 20 or 30 bucks price tag on it ( the nes ports rip offs on the gba or the mario allstars rip off on the wii for example ) I agree, the price should reflect the effort put...

Re: legends of wrestlemania

No I don't believe they do. I haven't played Legends Of Wrestlemania but if you mean the Wrestlemania games on the Gamecube then I don't think they play the same. The wrestling gameplay of WM19 was pretty good but the story mode was not what you'd expect in a wrestling game. WM18 was pretty weak but...

Re: re releases remakes and portmania

Aside from the obviousness of easy money there a few reasons we're going to see ports and remakes, and it's not always a bad thing. One reason is that some gamers want it, or at least appear to. Ask anyone what game they would like to see made and their answer will often be "a sequel to ....." or "a...

It's been a while since I used it, but doesn't it disappear when you leave the cursor offscreen?

Re: Things you don't understand

The word "prove" can also mean "test" and traditionally, this was the more common usage of it. Although the usual intended meaning of prove has changed with modern English, the phrase for some reason never changed with it and people will use it in the context of an exception being evidence of a cor...

Re: Strange gaming 'ticks'

GC Resident Evil 4 to blame for this:Even if i`ve only fired 1 bullet from a clip, stacks left, i have to reload, just have to. Me too, and I had to have my case neat and tidy with everything lined up and the ammo had to be next to it's gun, and if I had a single block space to fill I'd keep an egg...

Surely the exception dis-proves the rule? :?

Re: The Wii Collecting Thread!

There is no reason on God's Earth why Ubisoft couldn't give Wii users a proper, fully-functioning port of GRFS as Activision did with Black Ops. What they have done, they have done out of sheer laziness and greed. I agree. For whatever reason it seems the industry has decided that Rail Shooters are...

Re: Strange gaming 'ticks'

I must have the first save slot.

I share my Wii with my little brother, and some DS games too, and often he'll play my games before I do, however I must have the first save slot and I'll make sure I claim it before I let him play it.

Re: Need A New X-Box Game To Tide Me Thru' These Lonely Mont

tried Beyond Good And Evil but it crashed when I attempted to save my game and I haven't had the heart to start again. Firstly I have to emplore you to try again, get a new copy if that's the problem, you don't want to miss out on this awesome game. However I must admit it's unlikely to last you mo...
