Re: Lara Croft on the Cover?? Are you KIDDING ME??!?!?!?!

Can't say the latest cover is my fave. I completely understand the reasoning for it and the 'Lara through the ages' idea is sound but I can't say I was fond of the execution or the colour scheme.

It's not a bad track record, though. I normally love RG covers.

Re: Lunar City Arcade

Alas, it's all but gone now. He had the whole lot (house, too) up for sale a while back and I don't think he got a buyer for it all. A lot of the machines got sold off separately :( I would have loved to have gone and seen it. It's just like I imagine my arcade to be like when the lotto comes up :) ...

She'd probably let you, too. She seems to let everyone else.

On the Tyler Durden site there's pics of her 'fake' crying and apparently, during the hearing, she descretely had a middle finger up and in tiny letters on the nail it said '***k you. Classy.

Re: Lindsay Lohan jailed for '90' days

Sticking the likes of Lohan in jail for a few days does no good at all. To really kill these waste of spaces you have to go to the source of their power - the media. Alas, it's in rude health, feeding the idiots that voraciously consume all the celebrity media. But stick her in jail, all the same :)...

Retro Gamer Collection Vol.4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACNWNeQiUcU&feature=autofb Nice cover. I do love me a bit of ViewMaster. Of course Darran, you missed the chance of giving away a limited run of reels with classic retro scenes in glorious ViewMaster 3D! ;) Hopefully this will appear in the Imagine shop in the next few...

Re: To or Not To Retro Gamer Anthology 2

Sorry to sound like a numpty but what is the Retro Gamer Anthology? There are the three RG 'bookazine' collections and the eMag DVDs but I don't know of another collection. Do you mean the GamesTM 'Retro' collections?

Re: They Might Be Giants

I've only seen 'em once. It was ages ago just after Lincoln came out. They had a metronome on a big plinth at the side of the stage and before they came on a guy walked out and set it going. I think they played every song to that beat. I must admit that I've been a bit slack in my TMBG appreciation ...

I've still got my first (and only) MD Walkman http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3532/3194486579_fa0348b64d.jpg A fantastic bit of kit that served me well until I moved over to the iPod. My last car had MD in it too. Got a new car a week or so ago and CD in the car is just a pain. Also, a friend who use...

Right now I've got 5-9-88 by Frank Sidebottom on in memory of the great man's passing away yesterday. It's really great, it really is.

Re: anyone else collect old videogame magazines?

I've got copies of the mags I worked on but I just don't have the room for lots of mag collections so I have a few issues of various mags to remember them by - Personal Computer Games, the US Videogames Illustrated (a great read), Crash, Zzap etc. My weakness, though, are games fanzines. I've got va...

And yeah I do remember the Humphries. "Watch out, watch out, there's a Humphrey about" I was so miffed that we got our milk from the Co-Op milkman instead of Unigate. I got some Humphrey stickers from a friend's mum but that was it :( It was one of those blink and it's gone crazies at school (much ...

Re: Cd or vinyl

I bought my first new LP for about 5 years yesterday (http://ghostbox.greedbag.com/buy/mind-how-you-go-revised-edition-0/ if you're interested) and it felt so cool. Nice big sleeve and a heavy slab of vinyl; it felt like a proper event. I ripped a copy for the iPod at 320 which sounds lovely and war...

Re: New pics of Just Micro / Gremlin graphics, Carver st, sheff

Before I worked for Telecomsoft, I used to do a once or twice a year pilgrimage to London just to spend my hard saved cash at Forbidden Planet/Forbidden Planet 2 (which were then based in Denmark Street and just around the corner in St Giles High Street). I think I've got some photos of both FP sho...
