Re: Which book(s) are you currently reading?

I'm halfway through the Changes trilogy by Peter Dickinson. If you're of a certain age you might remember the '70s BBC kids series based on it also called The Changes about a Britain where, overnight, a noise coming from all machinery makes people want to destroy it.

Re: Tron Movie

Haven't we talked about this before and surely with Comic-con happening now there'll be a new trailer? Obviously I can't say it'll be rubbish without seeing it but from the trailer, visually I found it very disappointing. It's lost all that 'otherworldness' that Tron had. Now it looks like blokes in...

Re: Cd players

Still got my one and only CD system which still gets regular usage (listening to it even as I type). It's a Pioneer - model PD-Z81M - their first release of a 6-disc system back in 1986. Holy, that was my first CD player, too. Sadly gone now, replaced with a Yamaha in '88-'89 that's still with me. ...

Just picked up Helsing's Fire which is a very neat little puzzler with excellent presentation.

Re: Favourite gaming magazines

Not so much for content (which frankly I cant remember), but for design, there was a magazine called Ultimate or Ultimate Gaming and it was so ugly in layout and cover that even glancing at it in WH Smith was like having your eyes raped. One of the early DTP efforts where they used every effect on ...

Re: When's the next iPad due out?

It's only just come out so I doubt there'll be an update until next year at the earliest. iPhones usually update around June and iPods in September. The Pad came out in April/May so it's probably safe to say you might get an update at that time in 2011. Worrying about technology being out of date as...

Where do you get your Ninty Powers from? They won't do subs outside of the US (unlike EGM and GF) and I find eBay ridiculously expensive for single issues.

Re: Retro Gamer Collection Vol.4

I'm all ordered up now :)

I'm not really sure why I like these so much. After all, I've read pretty much all the content already. But I do so, what the hey.
