Re: Help me make a website?

I run my site on http://www.weebly.com . It's drag and drop from within a browser and you can even have a blog built in. You can use their domain name or direct to it from your own and if you fancy getting dirty with the HTML and CSS you can do that, too and it's all free (although you can pay to re...

Re: New Bookazine?

Got mine in the post yesterday. I do like the sprite covers. More of your handiwork, Darran? Now then, where's the next Games TM Retro one?

Re: Issue 81 - Official Feedback Thread

Another good issue and I love the cassette cover (although I sort of wanted it to be more cracked and scuffed up). Funnily enough I'd never actually played any of the Wizards and Warriors games and looking at them now (especially the first one) they sort of are the natural successor to Tim and Chris...

Re: Improving the magazine

Keep up the iconic screenshot-type covers. They're wonderful and eye catching! http://www.imagineshop.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/100x100/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/r/g/rg_077.jpg http://www.imagineshop.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/100x100/5e06319eda06f0...

Re: Video Game Documentaries

There's gotta be room for a documentary on current indie developers or maybe the retro scene. Base it around a few guys, each absolutely dedicated to their particular machine, and follow 'em around for a few months. Mix in some meets, retro shows etc and you could have a great hour's viewing.

Re: Video Game Documentaries

No one mentioning the Ocean and Imagine edition of Commercial Breaks? It's an excellent documentary. Shows the collapse of Imagine, and there's a short appearance of a programming legend (in his younger days) who is now sadly no longer with us  I'll second this. If you're after a UK-centric vi...

Re: Trading Cards (do I open some unopened packs?)

I've got a set of Dinosaurs Attack! They're superbly demented and gory. The backs are great, too. Get 'em opened! At the moment I'm trying to build up sets of Creature Feature/Funny Monsters/You'll Die Laughing cards from the '50s/'60s and '70s. Both the colour ones with glorious Jack Davis artwork ...

Re: What Comics did you read as a kid?

I never did go for the Beano or Dandy. As far as UK funnies go it was always the IPC stuff - Whizzer and Chips, Monster Fun etc. In the '70s my mainstays were all the UK Marvel titles and eventually 2000AD from '77. I remember the day I issue 1 of 2000AD well. I didn't have any money on me so my Mum...

Re: Greatest Sci Fi Film?

You don't like Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D? That was probably my favourite film ever when I was about 10. I still think it's great now, though I wasn't too keen on the first one (apart from the countdown the Daleks shout out, which I find very funny) I watched that again the other afternoon. I...
