If this thread were in the "all about the games" sub, you'd probably have a point, although i'd still argue the toss because the technical specs are vast part of what made and indeed makes these machines so interesting for me (as well as what shapes a lot of the best games) and obviously i'm not al...

It is a poll so logically it follows that it is about preference rather than technical specs, etc., which keep being quoted and dragging this thread to a new level of boredom. To compare technical specs would be comparing facts and wouldn't require a poll, that could be covered by an article. A poll...

Damn, I forgot PCG. I used to love for that for some reason, but it was back before magazines had really started to become fun. I remember being gutted when the next issue never appeared and it was quite a while before I was ableto accept that it had gone for good. I was a stupid child.

its not about love towards the machine its about which was better. you may argue that you love your 50 year old car, but clearly an opel corsa can do much better  you may prefer 2 available colors per char over 16 but clearly the 2nd is the better. you may prefer 256x192 resolution over 320x20...

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, I rembered the Vektar. When it was released, Pebble Mill At One did a feature on it (this is feature in the loose way that Pebble Mill did features) which involved several of my school friends riding around the Pebble Mill gardens on them. As I recall, none...

I stupidly fell for the hype and bought Great Space Race when it was released. It taught me a very valuable lesson. It never made sense to me but yes, it had a very nice box to make up for the game.

I could never get Sentinel either, maybe I will give it another go today,

I have had a quick flick through the mag but did read the Hi-Tec article. It was never a company I paid much attention to back then, but was a good read. They always seemed very indicative of that late 80's period when everything seemed to be either an arcade conversion or a tv/movie tie-in. Have to...
