Re: Doom 3 questions

Sorry I can't answer your question for you, but I too would be interested in learning whether this is possible.

I'd give it a shot myself, though had recently loaned my original XBOX controllers to a mate. Will see if I can get it working this weekend.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Boxed copies of Super Off Road, T2 and Top Gun for the NES arrived earlier this week. And I ordered Captain America for the 360.

I also went out and bought The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D yesterday afternoon - am quite impressed with it!

Some more pics of the 64DD for those who might be interested ... Re: quake 2 on the ps1

The only console port I ever played was on the 360 (which came with Quake 4), though I loved the game on the PC back in the day.

To be honest, I never even knew that Quake 2 was released on the PS1. I guess that's another one I need to look for...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Started playing Grand Theft Auto IV on the 360 yesterday (got a loan of it off a mate who wanted to borrow LA Noire). Played it for maybe 30-45 minutes and it just felt boring. Perhaps I just need to sit down and give it a bit more time.

Re: N64 Expansion Pak Compatability

Cheers guys. I swapped it over this morning and nothing caught fire ;)

Only played Lylat Wars though - Nothing that actually uses the Expansion Pak yet, but it should be alright.

Thanks again!

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Last week I ordered all of the original Star Trek episodes on DVD. I've slowly been getting through them, an episode or two each night. I'd never really seen that many of TOS, but am loving it now!

I'd be interested in Metal Slug if you're willing to sell it on its own. Feel free to PM me.

Just SimCity 64 and Doshin the Giant (or whatever it's called), though I haven't tried either as yet. Have the F-Zero Expansion pack and one of the Mario Artist disks also on their way.

Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

Last weekend I started moving my game room around - mainly just to make some more space, and have things set up while also allowing a 'walkthrough' area (as the room essentially links two other rooms). Here's an early shot from Saturday morning: http://desmond.yfrog.com/Himg735/scaled.php?tn=0&serve...

N64 Expansion Pak Compatability

Hi All, Apologies for what I would probably consider a stupid question, but would a Japanese N64 Expansion Pak work with an Australian/PAL N64? Basically the PAL N64 I have doesn't have an Expansion Pak, and the Japanese N64 which arrived this week does - so I was just thinking of moving it across. ...

Started playing Lylat Wars on the N64 before work this morning. Used to love that game, and just had a hankering for playing it! Am keen to get home and give it another shot.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

My Japanese N64 and 64DD arrived yesterday. I now have every console I wanted back in the 90s.

I really have to start expanding my Neo Geo CD collection. One that seems to be expensive is Metal Slug.

Re: Your Holy Grail.

One of mine is/was the 64DD. I remember seeing the promos for it when the N64 was released, and really liked the idea of expansions etc for consoles. I've now got one on order (awaiting its delivery from Japan), so I'll have to work out a new 'Holy Grail' ... Probably the sit down Star Wars Arcade g...
