Re: Your Favourite Games in a 3X3 Grid

I remember having a go of Exile on the C64 back in the day and wanting to get a copy for myself, think it was a demo on a Commodore Format covertape. Never got it in the end. Must try and locate one if I can. I'm guessing if it was hard enough to get back in the day its pretty difficult to get these...

Re: Your Favourite Games in a 3X3 Grid

Circus Atari nearly went on mine! Only for it being a game I discovered much later on, and not at the time, I would have put it in in place of something else. Though I'd probably be torn between this and Kaboom as my favorite 2600 paddle controlled game. I recently got a NTSC cart of it with a set o...

Re: Games that we are meant to love but secretly hate!

Put me down for another one that does not like Ocarina of Time. My brother and I got it the day it was released. He loved it and still reckons its one of the best games he's ever played. I gave it a chance back then but could never really get into it. I got to a certain point and just lost interest....

Re: Hewson re-lived

Wow I love seeing stuff like this. That framed Hewson logo original is bloody fantastic! Old Hewson games were a big part of my Speccy, Commodore 64 and Amiga days…. Uridium, Nebulus, Stormlord, Deliverance, Astaroth, Cybernoid, Cybernoid II, Exolon, Zynaps.. Uridium and Nebulus were both really uni...

Re: Unfunny comedians

I cannot believe that no one has mentioned Brendan O'Carroll. The man responsible for Mrs Brown's Boys. For some reason my wife finds the show utterly hilarious, but then she also like Miranda. However, she hates Black Books, Blackadder and Red Dwarf, so I can completely discount her opinion. :D Ug...

Re: aceptable condition?

I got a mixed bag of stuff the other week for €20. A load of 2600 cartridges and a stack old tapes for various systems. The cassettes were in reasonable condition. Still in their boxes, dusty and a bit musty smelling but anything I've tested has loaded up ok. The 2600 carts were another story. They ...

Re: Unfunny comedians

A few Irish gobshites for ye…. Jason Byrne - Annoying? Yes Funny? Not in the slightest. Andrew Maxwell Ed Byrne How these three ever got notice publicly is beyond me. Irish comedians are just so incredibly crap is not funny. We've got so much more of them here that thankfully have not managed to get...

Re: The recent spike in ebay prices.

I don't think its just ebay. I think the whole Retro thing has taken off in a big way recently. Here in Ireland it was up until recently a network of traders operating though free advert/trading websites. I got so much stuff for very little but have notice a lot of people popping up expecting silly ...

Re: Which game have you put the most hours into?

200 odd hours on fallout 3. Never been a big RPG player as I cannot stand jap RPG's with all the grinding. So fallout is the most I have spent on a game, as I normally complete something once then move on with there being so much i want to play so I never build up massive hours on a game. Fallout d...

Re: Did you know you can play PS1 games on your PS3?

Only discovered this a few months ago following a lunch time discussion at work. Que me pulling out the stacks of PS1 games my brother and I had hoarded over the years. This was of course after I'd bought several titles I already owned on disc on the PSN. I also gave away my Final Fantasy games last...
