Re: uncharted 3 story arc or not?

I played them all in reverse order. No real plot threads tying the three together. The biggest crossovers would be Drakes relationships with Elena and Chloe. Nothing major that will spoil much in the way of the main plot of each game though.

Re: Zoids Model Kits

I had a load of Zoids as a kid. They usually looked really cool when built but they would usually shuffle awkwardly along when wound up. Except for the spidezoid which I remember being quite nifty. There were also a few small ones that took batteries called power zoids. I remember this one bombing a...

Re: Post a classic game box cover

Reall old computer game cassette covers are the best! There is something about the crudeness of them that gives them a charm that you just wont get today. http://www.sellmyretro.com/uploaded/img/3277_Microbot.JPG http://www.6502dude.com/cbm/vic20/arma/tapescans/gridrunner.jpg http://ecx.images-amazo...

Re: Top 25 Amiga Games

My tuppence. The Chaos Engine. Personally this is the pinnacle of the Bitmap Bros output. Fast paced shootyness, great soundtrack, fantastically drawn graphics and possibility for co-operative play. Contained that trademark Bitmap Bros difficulty curve. Lemmings Equally entertaining as it was utterl...

Re: How do you organise your collection?

Mine is haphazardly plonked into cubbys on an equally haphazard array of Ikea Expedit units that I keep adding to. Things are kind of divided with some manner of thought behind it, but it am forever untangling wires and searching for that elusive PSU that's never where I last remember putting it. Be...

Re: Vids (TV Programme)

I remember watching this show after falling in the door from the pub and stuffing copious amounts of tea and toast into my face whilst channel hopping. Cant remember a thing about it only the two lads who presented were either Scottish or Geordies... People I knew used to speak highly of it though a...

Re: Space Harrier!

C64 port was the first version of Space Harrier I ever played. I always thought it was quite a good game for what it was.

Amiga versions was great too, especially when played with a mouse.

Never played the arcade version. In fact I don't think I ever saw a cabinet anywhere in my travels.

Re: everdrive flash carts...

Everdrives are the business. I got myself a SNES and Turbograxf ones last year and they've ended up saving me a shed load. No longer bother to track down old cards/HuCards anymore. They were getting expensive to pick up so figured the initial outlay on them would be a worthwhile investment. Its grea...

Re: Video Games Within Video Games.

Banjo Kazooie has this bit towards the end the game turns in to a quiz show. :?: Really weird, but a nice change of pace. http://static.gamesradar.com/images/mb/GamesRadar/us/Features/2010/05/Nintendos%20iconic%20Boss%20encounters/WII49.feat.gruntilda2--article_image.jpg Was it this or Donkey Kong ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I recently got myself a 48K speccy, had to replace the keyboard membrane but everything is all working fine now. Just need a CRT telly that will tune in properly. Got that speccy tape app for the iphone and have been playing highway encounter, turmoil and a few others over the weekend albeit with wo...

Re: Dark Souls 2

Had a brief chance to whittle away at this again. Currently at a few areas. That big rat thing at the Pharros area. Which looks like a re-skinned Sif. Get mobbed by the little toxic rats and then splattered by the big one. Also keep getting grey phantom's invading me in this area which is annoying a...

Re: Dark Souls 2

Seriously loving Dark Souls II, had been anticipating since I heard the announcement. I've only been home on the weekends so I haven't gotten that far into it. Have managed to get through a few of the bosses, but those 3 Sentinels in the Lost Basttille are complete ba$tards. Even with two phantoms a...

Re: Dead Rising 3

So far DR3 is the only title of the lot from all the current release window titles for both of the new systems that I am finding any way enticing. Cant wait to see whats going to land in the coming months.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Guilty Gear was in the stack too, and Castlevania Judgement. Have not got round to either yet, but I hear the Castlevania ain't great...

Always liked the what I've experienced of the Guilty Gear games though.
