Re: Video nasties!

I saw Contamination at the Dublin Horrorthon there last year. Great fun, but like most of the late 70's early 80's spagetti horror movies, makes very little sense. Well maybe a bit more than the Beyond or some of Lucio Fulci's other movies. Was a pretty cool night out though. Ian McCulloch was there...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Varg is another that should probably think more about what he says, and keep his Norge trap censored. They guy is obviously quite bonkers, probably exacerbated by the fact that he went to prison at such a young age and thus stunted a good bit of his emotional growth. Still he has made some incredibl...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Yeah that's still happening (as far as I know) .... not sure what to make of it tho, it could be sh*te, or awesome. I saw it on the sneak, as it didnt play anywhere near me, it's well worth a watch my friend, but it wont tell you anything you dont already know....if you know what I mean. Fenriz is ...

Re: Post your iPod Touch games here

I've been addicted to this Robotron 2084 inspired survival shooter for the last couple of months. Really fast paced violent fun. I think its only 0.79c which is a total bargain for what you get. (You can buy two additional packs with extra characters and maps for 0.79 each also) Voice acting from Eg...

Re: Deluxe paint

I was addicted to Deluxe Paint as a young'un Had III and IV. Used to drive my little bro up the walls when he'd come in expecting a blast of Putty or Turrican II, and I'd be there for hours making crude animations of matchstick people being squashed by piledrivers or mutilated by pointy implements, ...

Re: Do arcades need to come full circle?

I think places like xbox live gaming centers and the like are the way forward. They just need to be made more Presentable or Accessible to Joe public or somthing, the places over here that offer that kind of service over here seems to be very orientated toward those in the know. Personally I'd love ...

Re: Introduce yourself

Oh, did not notice this one till now.... 'lo. I'm J, 31 from Dublin, Ireland. I've been reading he Magazine on-off since the early issues. Its great for a nostalgia trip, and generally more interesting than the magazines that cover the modern stuffs. Really liked the recent articles on Ben Daglish, ...

Re: Does anyone use Apple II's?

We used Apple II e's in School. Fraction Fever and Lemonade. I remember the Teacher of another class came in and asked one of the computer boffin kids in the class would he take a look at the computers as they were not working for her. Kid goes in takes one look at the Machine and then points out th...

Re: Red Dead Redemption

I did not spend as much money this weekend as I though I would, so I used what I'd supposedly saved to purchase this. (I was going to wait a few weeks). So far so great! Only done about 2 hours or so, but definitely has the possibility to suck my in and waste yet more precious hours of my life away ...

Re: Games that pi$$ you off?

Last Ninja 2 on the C64 for sure, that bit on the 6th level (Warehouse am I right?) where you had jump over the stacked boxes. Jumping in all those last ninja games were frustrating as censored but that one bit in particular used to have me flinging joysticks and cassettes across the room. I only go...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Recently bought myself an old NES which I found in a thrift store in Germany for €20, along with a still boxed SMB and SMB2. Seems to be working, but the connector pins are a bit loose on the interior so it cuts out from time to time and I get the Red screen 'o death. Ah memories of frustration and ...

Re: Red Dead Redemption

It does indeed look pretty tasty. I just hope it'll live up to the review's its getting.
The last GTA on the xBox was good, but I got bored of it pretty quick.
