Re: GEEK 2013 - 21-24 Feb, Margate
The chap i was with commented on the layout to me, feeling the positioning of machines was somewhat random; neither of us worked out at the time that everything was arranged by genre It's funny, but people made the same comments about the layout at Play Expo too. As organisers it seems to make more...

Re: Favourite Zombie game and Movie
Best film would be the original Dawn of the Dead, closely followed by Shaun of the Dead, though that's obviously not a typical zombie film. Best game? Well, I've haven't played many (never played Resident Evil or Dead Rising properly) so I would go with either Typing of the Dead or The PSN game Burn...

Re: Personal Top 5 Albums
i just brought up S&M because its a live concert album ( with a full symphonic orhcestra ) that pretty much plays like a best off because its packed with various tracks from all metallica albums up til then so it basicially is a live best off album It really isn't. Re: Personal Top 5 Albums
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction
In Flames - Clayman
The Wildhearts - Earth Vs...
These are probably the 5 albums I've listened to most in my life from which I cannot pick a single weak song.

I saw it, don't think it gave much valid insight into the question they were asking, but should be good publicity for GEEK and Replay Events which is all good...

Re: Solar panels, anyone got them?
Since you live in Manchester I would suggest not getting them as there is no sun!
On a more serious note, as already mentioned, they don't pay for themselves for 15 years or more so I guess it depends how much cash you have and how long you plan to live in your house...

A little bump and price drop on this stuff. Most of it will be Ebay/Charity shop bound if it's not reserved in the next few days.
Shinobi/PaulEMoz, I still have items reserved for you. If you don't claim them by Monday then they will be offered up again!

Empire Strikes Back
Die Hard
Halloween
They would probably be my all-time best but I haven't actually watched ESB or Halloween for years. I just know they're brilliant without having to remind myself!

I think the site owner has had some issues with server reliability - pages have been slow to load and I have had quite a few 505 errors from it over the last few weeks. I will mention it to him as poor availibility is not going to encourage people to revisit the site. As of this minute the site is u...

Re: US Consoles in the UK - Advice
Are you sure the SNES works? Have you also tried blowing the cartridge connector and cleaning the contacts on the carts. I wouldn't have thought you'd have any issues getting a picture with a suitable SCART or RCA cable on a SNES, so I'm wondering if it's the console rather than the AV connection? A...

I've recently moved my Mastertronic blog to a new location, making it part of the RetroUnlim community: http://retrounlim.com/mastertronic/ I'm also writing for the RetroUnlim site itself, starting with some re-edited versions of old articles I did, such as a rundown of the best games to originate o...
