Re: Man. I want a SNES again.

Bought one last week on ebay boxed, no documents, 50 quid, was a bit mucky but cleaned up very nice. Personally I think it looks better than the PAl SNES / super famicom but I do sometimes have odd tastes. Control pad is much better than ours with the concave buttons.

Me too! I had snow this Christmas eve so it was great. I then decided to use some xmas money for some twinsticks and Virtual On.

Re: How Much is Your Collection Worth?

I'm surprised there's not an iphone app that lets you scan in all the barcodes off your games and consoles and tells you an approximate value. (Well there could be for all I know).

Re: What Was The First Ever Game With Edit Level Facility?

Crazy Chase on the Philips Videopac had a level editor and that was from 1982 as well. Not sure of the exact month though.

Not too far for me to Woodhorn Colliery but I'm going to go sometime when it's not the school holidays.

Re: What did you like/love but everyone else disliked/hated?

I've always liked Radikal Bikers for PS1 although it never gets much love. I'm sure it inspired Crazy Taxi yet it was Sega who sued EA for breach of copyright with Simpsons Road Rage. (Did they succeed I don't remember?)

Re: What will you be playing this Christmas period?

Was playing Christmas NiGHTS last night with a blizzard outside, feeling very festive. I was surprised at how good the game looked - really vivid colours and fast with minimal pop-up. Guess I'd fallen for the whole 'Saturn can't do 3D' arguement. Might have another blast on it tonight if I have time.

Re: What's your favourite 'classics collection' compilation?

On Metal Slug collection you can use the 'cube controller but not the d-pad annoyingly (no classic controller irrc). On the SNk Arcade classics you can use the d-pad, I use the Hori digital pad for it.

Super Mario Land (Gameboy) First time I think. Been playing it on a GBA for the last week, first time I put it in my Gameboy Pocket completed it straight away losing the odd life here or there.

Found Super Bomberman 2 cart for Snes in a car park. No cars nearby and it wasn't staffed so thought I may as well keep it. Good times had in multiplayer.

1. Sega Megadrive 6 button pad (one without the turbo button)
2. Saturn mk2 pad (in white)
3. Dreamcast (but not for fighters)

Paid for, but not yet received a boxed white Japanese Saturn, trying to prioritise which games to get first.

Re: Does anybody still use the old CRT Tellys for gaming

Just got a 21" Sony trinitron from eBay for £2.99. The difference between that and the LCD I was using is huge! My wife doesn't seem so enthuastic though.
