Oh, and with Pac-Man being re-released on Xbox live this week it may be a good time to mention that although it was a classic of it's time and was great fun I could never play it for more than about 5 minutes and there are a million flash games on the web that are better nowadays. I have to say that...

I first played it on the C64 , then on the master system and the Megadrive, they were all fantastic.

I think games with depth generally fare better 20 years later. Puzzle games are still as puzzling and games with good stories will still be interesting but games that relied on action and great graphics just don't play as well as you remember them because they've been bettered I agree on paperboy an...

Street fighter 2 on XBLA

I don't remember it beling this blinkin' hard.

Even if I cheat and just get E.Honda to constantly do 100 hand slaps in a corner I get beaten by Chun Li. I have a couple of mates who also used to love this game and none of us can get over 10 gamerpoints :(

To be honest they probably buy anything people bring in, they're just not as common as other consoles.

I think people who order PS3's to sell on ebay could be very disappointed. They may not be as popular or in-demand as people think.

As i've said in other threads i prefer the real thing to emulation but the BBC is one machine I just can't be arsed to actually buy so this is much appreciated.

Re:

As a recent convert to the Xbox, I think the pads are alright. But then I've only ever played with an S-type, so I can't imagine how bad the original pads were. And Outrun 2 is much more fun with a steering wheel... I've always wanted to play driving games with a steering wheel but I play games sat...

I think it makes a massive difference. As much as I love retro games I do feel that controllers have gradually improved over the years, one development at a time and I think the Xbox 360 controller is the best yet. 2nd best would be the Dual Shock for me, followed by the Gamecube and then the N64 co...
