Re: Famous people with retro system collections?
I'm fairly certain I once remember James Martin on Saturday Cheap MDF rubbish mentioning the C64 at some point, it's possible he may be interested still or at least have some 'favourite games'

Re: Tomorrow's Harvest
New album from Boards of Canada. Instant classic as far as I'm concerned but I'm a bit of a fan. Album of the year (so far)..... wasn't really expecting any replies
(or at least not from anyone who didn't already know what I was referring to!)

Re: The Xbox/PS2 coverage discussion thread
The magazine will always stay skewed towards older systems, but it would be ignorant and selfish of 8-bit fans to not expect the occasional article dedicated to the PS2 etc. Some are acting as if they're going to open issue 125 and it contains the history of Halo, the making of Call Of Duty, an Int...

Re: The Xbox/PS2 coverage discussion thread
I buy the magazine mainly to read about the games I grew up with and some of the later stuff (would like more N64 coverage please as have recently discovered it via my other half) but I would lose interest if it got to the point where the majority coverage was games from around 2005 upwards. I think...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 117 - Feedback Thread
Err, Paul did the Making of Styx with Matthew Smith and made it interesting in just two pages... Haha, okay brain-fail moment then. But i'm sure he has more than just one article each issue, if not forgive me. Overall, it still seems like a 'modern' issue to me and the usual balance isn't there, I ...

I'd have to have another flick through but that Naughty Dog thing and the Thief article come to mind.... alright, maybe i *am* in the minority...

Yeah well, you try and stop me having an opinionDarran@Retro Gamer wrote:in your opinion...kelp7 wrote:Fine. But the balance is wrong in this issue, definitely.

Joking aside, I don't think I'm the only person that feels that way about this issue which kind of means there must be 'something in it'.

If I write the same sentence again will it 'proof' it right?
We need a percentage calculation or something to guarantee that the balance is correct this issue

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 117 - Feedback Thread
the amount of mails I get requesting Xbox making ofs is getting silly at the moment) so there will be an inevitable shift. fantastic news, the mag will die on its ar5e if it doesn't start getting PS2/Xbox etc covered more often. Personally speaking I would just like it to start covering more N64, a...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 117 - Feedback Thread
If you're an 8-bit fan then yes, this issue might be seen as a little weak, but Retro Gamer is trying to cater to the needs of thousands of readers, so it's inevitable that some issues will leave a bad taste in the mouth, particularly if you just want to be wrapped in a nostalgia blanket. Hopefully...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 117 - Feedback Thread
Hmmm.... hardly ever say this but this issue hasn't really grabbed me much at all. My trouble being that I'm mainly into the 8-bit home computers I guess, though I do like the Amiga / 16-bit / PC coverage. Too much 'modern' stuff for me this issue :) plus too much Sega bias. Really don't get on with...
