Re: Bosses you just couldn't beat...

Bit of an off beat choice this, but the giant bird in baten kaitos origins. Normally in an rpg I would go off and level up, then go back and smite the git but this one Is right at the start of the second disc with nowhere to go. You have to beat it as you are, which I couldn't. I learned then that e...

Re: Real Ale Drinkers or Lagerboys?

Aaaargh! I hate Asda - but may have to head down to see what they have on offer. Thanks for the heads up :D No probs mate. I get a couple of guys from working clubs coming in for double maxim and brown ale as they say it's cheaper to get from us than the brewery which is rather sad. Now I just orde...

Any disgaea game. The yakuza games have all had major hours put into them, same with assassins creed. Dragon quest 8 has been upward of three hundred hours as well.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Almost Human This may have stolen the Robocop remake's thunder. Watched the first 2 episodes last night. Basically a buddy cop show with heavy Blade Runner overtones and styling. Without much in the way of spoilers, cop has issues and is partnered with an old model android who is modelled to have e...

Re: Games that make you feel epic

God of war was one for me, starting of as a slave to ares then killing all the mythical creatures from Greek mythology until you take on ares and replace him as the god of war. I love games like that. This. The final cut scene had me grinning like a loon. Same goes with Darksiders. The yakuza games...

When I moved house earlier in the year I found a sealed copy of gears of war 2. No idea where It came from, certainly didn't buy it. Made a friend happy anyway.

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

Got my Wii u delivered this morning. First impressions are really good. Had a quick blast on Nintendo land and looks to be better than I thought. Also surprised it came in a box, was expecting a slip cover or dl code. The gamepad itself was much lighter than I expected and for the thirty odd minutes...

Re: People and sales

I worked in a brand-new Next superstore on Boxing Day in 2006, and it was absolute bedlam. Queues were lengthy from well before I started my shift at 4am, and carnage ensued when we opened the doors. The appeal of a tenner of a pinstripe tie can really bring out a worse side in some people. It was ...

The Grinch yesterday while putting up the tree. Also at the half way point through Dracula and really enjoying it. After the terrible first episode I didn't think that would be the case.
