Re: Old Vs New: Hydro Thunder Vs Hydro Thunder Hurricane

The original Hydro Thunder for me. It looks better and is more fun to play!

Re: want to see in RG - feature on Amiga Demoscene

An Amiga demoscene feature? Great idea (and long overdue)! Around '92/'93, I used to collect Amiga demos. There were some really impressive ones like the 6-disc ODYSSEY demo. Other favorites are Hardwired (by Crionics&Silents), State of the Art (by Spaceballs) and the naughty Budbrain Megademo.

Re: Hot Topic - Best Handheld

Very tough choice. I'll go with the Neo Geo Pocket Color, 'cause with Metal Slug, SNK vs. Capcom and Sonic Pocket Adventure it had three of the best handheld games ever. Plus, it had Pac Man!

Re: Improving the magazine

Maybe you can expand one of the most interesting features of RG: the conversion comparisons. It's always very interesting to read which system is best (or worst) to play a certain game and to know to how many platforms it was ported. The mag itself is pretty much perfect for me (= great articles, in...

Shinobi III still rocks my world! I'm not very good at it, but I love it nonetheless!

Re: Ridge Racer - Arse or Class?

The original Ridge Racer totally blew me away back then! I simply couldn't believe such arcade-like graphics were possible on a home console. I had weeks and months of fun with the game though there was only one track to race on. Brilliance! Ridge Racer Revolution was a little underwhelming for me (...

The criminally underrated Historyline 1914-1918 from Blue Byte. A perfect two-player strategy game!

Re: What has happened to eBay?

What's even worse is that eBay changed the categories (at least over here in my little country): I cannot search specifically for Amiga games any more but have to browse through vintage gaming/commodore. As a result, I have to scroll through lists of C64 and Vic-20 games only to find a few Amiga gam...

Well, they're not really retro in my book but I simply love to read about great games! I mean, how can you not love an extensive article about Silent Hill 2?

Re: Simcity 2000

I've spend weeks with Sim City back in 1991 or 92 when I got it for my beloved Amiga. But Sim City 2000 on the PC managed to hook me even more! Building your own city was both addictive and satisfying. I gotta admit that I liked to cheat to get tons of money at the very beginning and then simply bui...

Re: Retro PC reviews?

I was speaking to one of the ex Total PC Gaming staffers today about a Deus Ex feature. Point is, he's keen to write for the mag (last piece he did was system shock 2 for us) and he has a ridiculous amount of games still, so we'll start trying to get this sorted soon. That sounds very promising! :m...
