Re: Video Games Within Video Games.

Doesn't Goldeneye have a working Spectrum in it with a bunch of Rare games? Can't remember if it's accessible without hacking though. Does that count?

Re: Good Grief! Danger Mouse Ressurrected...

When I was in high school, our deputy head teacher looked exactly like Penfold. As I recall, he had a Penfold keychain that, I think, one of the students gave him. I'm not sure now if he was aware of the reason.

Re: Video/Computer Game History Books

Game Over by David Sheff is one of my favourites. It gives a brilliantly detailed overview of the industry with a focus on Nintendo. The only shame is that it doesn't stretch to cover the whole of the SNES or the N64, and Sheff never wrote a follow up. Possibly overtaking Game Over as my favourite g...

Re: Games with awesome water

I probably wouldn't look twice at it now, but Mario Sunshine's water really amazed me when I first played it.

Re: Your Unpopular Opinion!

If you want to know why Harry Potter is popular, I would try reading it instead of watching it (the films are pap).

Re: Your Unpopular Opinion!

Coffee is disgusting, as is anything with coffee in it. This, although I did like the coffee creams in a tin of Roses, which strangely everyone else in my family (all coffee drinkers) hate. Alcohol tastes like censored. If one more person says to me 'I know you don't like alcohol, but have this, it...

I don't want to kill anything, but my rule is that if you're in my house, all bets are off. I don't go into the woods to kill them on their own turf.

I have covered everything with anti-spider spray, and I am armed with an electrified anti-bug tennis racket. COME AT ME, BRO!

Re: What games do you want to be remade

None, really. As has been said, most things get ruined by remakes. All my favourite games are as good as they could be, so remaking them would only introduce the possiblity of making them worse. Having said that, I am permanently surprised that Square do not remake FFVII, since it is a huge fan favo...

Re: What has been your most 'upsetting' gaming-related news?

One time, I tried to record the pages onto vhs tape. Naturally it didn't work :( I do still have the FFVII tips pages copied out verbatim, including the instructions for getting Knights of the Round, but obviously this isn't comedy gold. Is the Matt 'non-shiny goose' Gander who writes for RG the sam...
