Re: From the Forum question for issue 83

Plugging one in the back of Natalya's head when she screws up your perfectly planned mission by running into a wall/group of guards/stray bullet.

And knee-skating around the place like a crazy fool in multiplayer! Who needs crouch animations? Not me.

Re: Competition Pro joystick with knackered fire buttons

Thanks man :) After doing a bit of fiddling around and testing, I've determined that the insides are all fine. By scrubbing the end of the plug bit with a toothbrush, I've managed to get the fire buttons to work - temporarily. This also stopped the down direction on the stick from working though, an...

Competition Pro joystick with knackered fire buttons

Well, my C64 woes continue. I just got a Competition Pro joystick, and the fire buttons do not work at all, but the stick is fine. I got this stick because I heard they were indestructable, so I was surprised to find it faulty. I opened it up, but couldn't find anything visibly untoward - no broken ...

Unresponsive C64 keys

So I have a C64, but the keys seem stiff and unresponsive, like if I type normally, only a fraction of the keys will register. I have to hammer each key and wait, like with a typewriter, which is obviously going to make playing games with the keyboard impossible. Is there anything I can do to fix th...

Re: VVVVVV

This game is the greatest release in the past ten years. Has it been featured or reviewed in an issue of Retro Gamer yet?

Re: From the Forum question for issue 74

For me it has to be the classic Atari joystick. Although, ironically, I only ever used them on my C64. I remember the cover would come off the stick after a certain amount of abuse at the hands of Commando. The other day I took the top off one and crammed inside the stick I found a Curly Wurly wrapp...
