Re: Best retro joypad ever : Unofficial voting thread

Very boring of me I'm afraid.
1. Dreamcast
2. N-64 pad
3. Megadrive 6 button

I never had a Saturn but I do have a Mad Catz SFIV fight pad. I believe that is modelled on the Saturn's? It's very good for SFIV, And the PS3 Megadrive collection.

No pics I'm afraid. I'm not that tech competent yet

The neGcon? Was that how it was spelt? Funny twisty controller for the PS1.
Damn someone got there first haha

Re: The Most Frustrating Classics

Airwolf on the Speccy? On second thoughts it's not much of a classic. Sure was frustrating though.
Defender on a proper arcade cabinet? Although thats been done many times before.
Hang on I've got it......

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3. Haven't played it yet though. The 360 version I used to have was great- if a teensy bit hard, not that that's a terrible thing! Also grabbed Atari Anthology for the PS2 for £1.50-Superb, it's worth it just for Red Baron. I was beginning to think that old arcade game...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Splinter Cell Double Agent on the 360. I'm just taking a break because I was about to insert lighted matches in my eyes in frustration at not being able to do the e-mail encryption puzzle. I'm rubbish at Sodoku stuff anyway, let alone something similar in cube form  None of the solution I've fo...

Re: Street fighter X Tekken

Im kind of looking forward to an Eddie versus Ryu match. Lots of leg twirling button mashing beaten by fireballs in the face  I know thats a fairly simplistic comparison, but how on earth are the two different styles of these games going to work in concert? I await to be pleasantly surprised. H...

Re: Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition

I must say I'm rather looking forward to this release. I missed out on SFIII the first time (even though I had a Dreamcast, how the heck did I miss it?!). I've always heard favourable things about it. Does it play significantly different to SSFIV? The parrying mechanic alone makes the SFIII series ...

Re: Worst beat-em-ups ever

Hello again guys, sorry for my big sabbatical from this site, back with new connection. I can think of a few stinkers in my time but I've got a particular loathing for that D&D game on the PS1. It was terrible, but was bought at a time when i would pick up any old rubbish if the cover was ok. Oh , a...

Re: 8-bit graphics that really made you go 'wow' at the time

Funnily enough, Turbocharge on my mate's C64. Looks like an absolute pig now of course! The feeling of speed and great sprites made me very jealous. My closest thing was Chase HQ on my Speccy, which wasn't nearly the same. The amusing end to this was my Commodore loving pal purchasing Chase HQ on C6...

Re: First Computer

Not a computer really but mine was an Atari 2600. Unfortunately it came with Pac-Man (egad!), but luckily my parents soon got me Stargate. 1st proper computer was a Spectrum +2A which was annoying because some games I really wanted to play like Green Beret and Ghosts n Goblins weren't compatible wit...

Re: Games that came bundled with consoles: Best & Worst

Worst- Total Carnage. It came with my Amiga 1200 and has to be one of the most awful, turgid conversions of all time Best- Syndicate. Also came with my 1200 (cant remember the name of the bundle now, a long time ago!). Not much I can say about this game that hasn't been said already. Pure class. And ...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Assassin's Creed 2 on PS3, although I didn't get everything, just completed the main story. My attention span is getting shorter as I get older!
Also Killzone 2, and a very hard slog it was too, those red eyes the Helghast have sure do make them uncannily accurate with RPG's.Ouch!

Re: Your most anticipated game of 2010?

Hi guys. Newbie here, great to be here and am hoping that you are all hale and hearty. I'm very much looking forward to God of War III (Pandora's Box edition if I can afford it), Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain. Also Mafia 2 if thay don't screw it up. Loved the first one on PC, especially the rather depressi...
