Re: Amiga Game Encyclopaedia Work in Progress - Help somewhe

Yeah, nice work Drisk! I also just had a quick look but it's looking good so far! :D

Always happy to see new books/pdfs like this, especially if it's for a system I've only played a select few games on! This should help me find a few hidden gems on Amiga to give a play someday!

Re: From the forum issue 125 - Favourite movie licence

Is The Great Escape a proper movie-licenced game? Loved that on the Speccy! If not, then obviously Goldeneye was great! Oh, and Jurassic Park on the SNES was great fun...especially the Doom-style wandery bits!

I've always liked Crackpots! Even those annoying green spider bits that eventually finish me off!

Re: Your Favourite Play School Presenter....

I've gone for Fred Harris, because he makes me think of Playschool the most....all the other ones I would have voted for remind me of other kids programs! :)

Re: What are you currently playing?

GTAV And once I'm done with that, I'll be playing everything I've bought in the last 5 years on 360 again, as I recently had a slight mishap whilst trying to delete my profile to fix a sign in issue, and ended up deleting all my saves....every...single...one! :( I have a terrible habit of playing a...

Re: From the forum Issue 121

Final Fantasy VII is probably still my favourite, it being my first JRPG and totally blowing my mind when I first played it...although I do think FFVI & FFIX are possibly equally good!

As for Western RPGs, I'll go for the entire Elder Scrolls series if I'm allowed that!

Re: ps2 collecting

Well, I finally got round to playing Raging Blades and it turns out it's a rather nice Golden Axe-style, hack-n-slasher! Recommended if you can find it cheap! :)

Re: Questions for Phil "Starfox Adventures" Tossell

Kameo had a sequel that was apparently very far into development before it was canned :( I love Kameo Yeah.. thanks, I went and looked for info on a sequel after my last post....Bit disappointing that the sequel didn't make it to release. It'll be interesting to see what Rare do on XBone....they've...

Re: ps2 collecting

Just counted my collection again the other day, and I know apparently have 328 PS2 games!

My latest pick up was Raging Blades, but I've not got access to my PS2 as I'm at my parents...anybody played it? Is it any good?

Re: Questions for Phil "Starfox Adventures" Tossell

In your opinion, did changing platforms make games like Kameo and Starfox Adventures better or worse than they might have been if they had been released on the machines for which they were originally intended? I'm a huge fan of Kameo, and think it's defintely as good, if not better than, earlier Rar...

Re: How much last gen stuff is too much?

Yeah, I'd like to see some more "Making of" type articles on PS1/PS2/Gamecube/Xbox games....or looks at the lesser known/ obscure titles for these systems!

I've went for 6 pages, but I also wouldn't mind if it went over for articles with a lot of info to offer! :)

Re: Worst Games Ever Made

Rise Of The Robots is definitely one of the worst....washed in on a sea of hype, but it didn't take long for everybody to realise that the developers had forgotten to actually make any sort of game at all!

Barbarian on the Atari ST...

Really easy to master the moves, but took skill to beat someone if they knew what they were doing! And of course, lopping off peoples heads is always good for a laugh!

Re: HMV introducing arcades into stores?

Edinburgh Princes Street had loads of Pinball machines in their store for ages before it was threatened with closure, and I think it had a couple of arcade machines too. They were part of it's game zone where you could pay a couple of quid and try out some games for an hour on 360 or PS3 or whatever...

Re: 10 years of Retro Gamer

Bloody hell! Retrogamer is just about becoming retro itself!

I can remember picking up the first mag for my brother when I was working in Virgin Megastore. I started getting it for myself from issue 3...crazy to think that was almost 10 years ago!
