Re: Videogames Hardware Handbook

In the interests of constructive feedback I doubt there are legs for a decent Volume 2 are there? Unless it was in a few years and featured PS1, Neo Geo, Gamecube, plus proper features for GBA/Micro, PSP and DS (excellent machines for portable retro). But then a lot of the rest would be filler, as t...

Re: Issue 73 feedback

If I wrote for the magazine I'd get quite depressed with the incessant whining and the criticism of my articles by people on this thread. "Why didn't you do this?" "Why did you do this?" "I'd do it this way." "I'd do it that way." “Why do you talk about Nintendo/Sony/Sega/Sinclair/Amstrad so much?” ...

Re: Issue 73 feedback

I haven't got this month's yet, but judging by the dozens of issues I've already bought/own I'm sure it'll be a great read. I can't believe people censored some articles off - does it really make people THAT angry? To be honest, 50% of the content in each magazine covers things I've never heard of a...

Re: Chase HQ Cabinet restorulation

I've only just noticed this post, and a lot of it's like a different language to me (as someone who knows very little about any sort of electronics or engineering) so I have to take my hat off, what a feat and achievement! Well done.

Re: From the Forum question for issue 74

I realise I'll probably be thrown out of the forum for this, but I never liked joysticks. I think it was because I was so badly scarred by some Kempston Joystick I had on my Spectrum, with its adapter/interface that plugged into the back which you couldn't even look at otherwise it would move and th...

Re: Is being a retro only gamer wrong?

Eventually all games become retro, right? So ten years from now you could be playing current gen games? Therefore you wouldn't really be missing out on anything :D True Rayne - in just ten short years I'll get myself a second hand PS3 and could well be playing FIFA 2009. The dream we all dream! I t...

Re: Is being a retro only gamer wrong?

I'm a bit late here obviously, but if anyone out there is listening...I find that I don't really have the time these days to invest in playing a game inside out and top to bottom. Between 5 and 20 years old I had a lot more time on my hands and could immerse myself in a particular game, but nowadays...

Re: Games that came bundled with consoles: Best & Worst

Best - Super Mario World on my Super Nintendo. It's a cliche but true.

Worst - erm. Chess on my Spectrum 48k?? Or, actually, Tunnel B1 on my Playstation One.
