Re: Master System must haves?

Can't believe no one mentioned Choplifter, I used to love playing that on the MS back in the day.

Shinobi and Wonderboy in Monsterland are the others that stand out for me too.

Re: Retro Gamer Binders Now Available!!!

FYI - I bought a pair of the binders Rymans do and they're crap. They supposedly hold 14 mags but I put in six issues of CLiNT which is way smaller than RG and it's already over half full. Also the little rods pop out easily if the mags are too heavy as well. I tried putting a couple of bookazines i...

Special Operations.

It was my favourite game on the Electron so I assume it'll be available for the BBC too ? weren't the electron games all mostly compatible with the Beeb ?

Re: Charity Shops

I picked up a complete, mint condition copy of Civilization II for the Pc in a BHF in Bromley the other week. It was tucked in amongst the board games there too. It cost me £2.90 which doesn't seem that much of a bargain now that I've seen peeps getting a snes for £7... :( Still, nice to have a boxe...

Re: From the forum Issue 88

Isn't Repton a clone of Boulder Dash? Only better?

I never played Boulder Dash, but played all the Repton games for the Electron back in the day.

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello all, I've posted a couple of times in the forums, but not really introduced myself, so I thought I'd get round to introducing myself. :) Originally from Bolton, but I've lived in Manchester for the last 7 yrs. Had my first exposure to games (and programming) via my older brother's Dragon 32 w...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello, I'm Martin, I'm 34 and been reading Retro Gamer for nearly two years now and absolutely love it. I pretty much gave up on gaming a couple of years back when I moved and no longer had the space for my PS2 and XBox that I had at the time. Since then, I've gotten back into my gaming via handheld...

Probably "Hopper" on the Acorn Electron as that was probably the first game I ever played at home. Arcadians was good too!

Re: Official feedback for issue 86

Was really pleased to see the piece on Civilisation II, one of my favourite games ever. Was even more pleased to find a mint, boxed copy of it in a local charity shop for £2.90 today. I've no idea how it'll run on my (fairly) modern laptop but at least I know I meet the recommended specs of a 486DX2...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I managed to bag a GBA SP with a copy of Advance wars for £13.50 including p&p off ebay. Quite pleased with that as I saw a copy of Advance wars on its own for £14.99 in a games shop yesterday.

Re: Best GameBoy Hardware?

The Gameboy Light is a piece of kit I would very much like to own but whenever I remember to search Ebay I turn up a blank. How does the d-pad compare to the Pocket Nokgod? Exactly the same mate. I never realised the Gameboy light was so rare! There's some crazy prices for some of them on ebay. I b...
