Re: No More 2 Page Screenshots!

I like the 2 page screenshots. It's not likely that they could replace it with 2 more pages of new material and it's a nice break from the small screenshots.

Admittedly, some of the 2600 game screenshots are a bit of a waste :D

Re: Left For Dead 2

That might be the issue for me, I don't have "friends" on line - being slightly older, so playing with strangers might not be so fun. But I've a week off next week, so will give it a whirl - am still playing Oblivion and BC2 at the mo. HL2 and HL were both fantastic games, if you like FPS, surely y...

Re: Left For Dead 2

I played this single player for about 20mins when I got it to familiarise myself with the controls. I love the game but wouldn't bother playing it single player, the AI is pretty dim. The sequel is very much the same as the 1st with added polish and more variety in weapons/scenario's and the weekly ...

Re: Left For Dead 2

Simply awesome with 4 good mates over xbox live. I have this for the PC too :S

The experience depends heavily on the folks you are playing with, there are some rather daft muppets online obviously but if you get a good bunch of folks the replay value is immense.

Re: Tunnel B1: A Forgotten Gem?

I had this on the Saturn. Not as bad as a lot of people will make out but definitely not great. It did feel a bit like a tech demo that was fleshed out by repeating the same thing over and over. Got quite repetitive and frustrating. I remember playing it alot though and the graphics were pretty good...

Re: The The Karate Kid 2010

They are countries of origin, doesn't necessarily mean they aren't taught there. Is a bit of an odd choice of film title if he is teaching kung fu though. They need to follow it up with "The closing time drunkard pub fighting Kid" in which a 70 year old man who claims he had a promising boxing caree...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

1) Limbo (xbox 360)
2) Hydro Thunder Hurricane (xbox 360)
3) SWOS (xbox360)
4) IL2 Sturmovic (xbox360)
5) Streets of Rage 2 (xbox360)

It might be slightly obvious that I bought an XBOX 360 S 250gb recently.

Re: Not having any money sucks......

If i were made unemployed I reckon I could easily spend 6 months playing games and modding consoles without having to spend a penny... I'm sure you would have to visit the loo at some point during the 6 months  I have to set myself a strict budget for games at the start of the month. It's mu...

Re: Hydro Thunder Hurricane

Bought this today and am very pleased I did. If you enjoy simple arcade racers then you will like it. Over the top in the way that arcade racers like this should be, nice graphics, Good arcade sound and most importantly the gameplay is just fun. I haven't played it online yet but I expect that will ...

Re: R3PLAY - hotel booking update

I've booked in at http://www.windsorandwestmorlandhotel.org.uk/ for £42.50 total for a twin room for me and a mate. Includes breakfast. There are still rooms available according to the site.

Its a 10minute walk from the venue.

Hope this is useful info for someone :)

Re: Hydro Thunder Hurricane

I've already bought Limbo and think I will get this after reading good stuff from folks like yourself. Only issue now is if I get a 3rd game from the Xbox live "summer of Arcade" offer then I get 400points back. Will have to see if any of the others are worth buying. Thanks for the reminder that thi...

Re: Constructor [PC]

I never owned it but played it alot at a friends house. I don't think we ever beat the Jungle level, we assumed that was the last one?

There was a sequel called Street Wars: Constructor Underworld - but I never got round to tracking it down.

Re: Best retro joystick ever : Unofficial voting thread

Almost the same as Haggler!

01) Zipstick
02) Competiton pro joystick
03) Konix speedking

We had a zipstick that took abuse through the life of our CPC 464 then through the Amiga 500 period. It died during a session of final fight. It took pride of place on top of the telly after that :)
