Re: Software Houses RIP

A lot of my old favourites have that bold Ocean logo on them, so they get my vote.

I was in their old office building in Manchester a few weeks ago too :D

Re: Anyone played the Mafia II demo yet???

I played through the demo and pre-ordered it. I thought it looked and played really well and is far more interesting than modern chavvy themes you usually get. The original Mafia game had atmosphere and they have captured it here too. Looking forward to the release of this. The gunplay felt good to ...

Re: Push Over

Absolutely loved this game. I did get stuck in places though . . like any puzzle game I expect.

After a while you would ask why he couldn't just push the red domino over himself and be done with it.

Re: Stupid things people say when your playing games!

Hehe. Good thread. My wife seems quite happy to watch me play Gears of War recently. I do have to put up with "Why don't you stand somewhere they cannot shoot you" Can't argue really. Whilst playing Left 4 Dead 2. One of my mates constantly shouts "It's over there" via xbox live. I just hope he isn'...

Re: R3play: Other distractions?

At Eurocon I am hoping we can stay out until the big hours the next day! The joys of just being there for fun and not having to organise etc :D Did go to the Lass today he did say that he has gotten tickets for the guest list to a bar that stays open till 9am and has a few cabs in there lol. I best...

If sony continue their current patching methods, expect the PS3 128kb hard drive version with no USB ports :)

Don't laugh at me. I actually paid for one of her spells. I think something misinterpreted though as I got home to find all my door handles were 9 inches longer.

Re: R3PLAY 'The Arcade, Retro & Video Gaming Expo' - Blackpool

Just a quick question. I'll be travelling on the train from Manchester but I hope to pick up a few retro goodies whilst I am there.

Is there anywhere to leave luggage/bags. I don't fancy humping a bag full of stuff around all day :)

Re: 360 game recommendations

On the Live Arcade side of things, Snoopy Flying Ace and Shoot 1UP are both just super. One's like Crimson Skies only with the Peanuts gang, and the other's one of them shoot-mupper things only you have a whole squadron of ships at once (up to 30!). I bought Snoopy Flying Ace begrudgingly for the w...

Re: err so my saturn just exploded... any ideas on a fix?

Soldering is ridiculously easy, don't be put off by that. Get a cheap "breadboard" and a 50p bag of resistors or similar. After about 3mins you will wonder why you were ever bothered by it :D If you really can't be bothered with that though then buying another console is your best bet and swapping t...

Re: game loading

I used to get hypnotised by the horizontal lines appearing one by one to form the title screen image on my Amstrad.

On other games, I'd just have a full on fist fight with my older brother to decide who got 1st go. . . usually him.
