Re: what's your favourite Lego game?

Iv never had the urge to play the Harry Potter one as I dont like the books or films, but have been in two minds about Pirates one as I like the first film which was great, but the sequels were tacked on rubbish.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Toothbrushes, cant I just buy a normal effing toothbrush these days, cant someone make a normal toothbrush these days either or is that asking too much? Why oh why do all toothbrushes these days have to have those tongue scraping pads on the back of the heads? All they do is scrape agains the side o...

Re: what's your favourite Lego game?

Probably the Lego Universe MMO. Shame it didn't last very long though as it had a lot of clever ideas. It didn't even turn in to a f2p game, just shut down dead! Wow first I have heard of this game, I dont play mmo's but would have at least give this game a go. Perhaps they should have gone for a s...

what's your favourite Lego game?

So far I'd have to say Lego Indiana Jones, the developer nailed the feel and atmosphere of the films which is funny for a Lego game when that IJ game on the Wii didn't. Have really enjoyed Lego LOTR on the DS too, even though I remember some on here said the mobile versions were gripped compared to ...

Re: Is this really RETRO??????????

Not this old chestnut again, i swear someone posts about this every year along with 'Is the forum dying' too. Cant moan about this and not be proactive about it. If you want to discuss more retro stuff and there be more threads about retro stuff, then you have to get involved and be proactive about ...

Re: Blogs

Thinking of starting a new blog after killing the old one earlier in the year but I don't want to create another Google account and go back to Blogger...does anybody know if Wordpress is any good? More specifically, is there anything major that you can't do with just the basic free version? Other t...

Re: Why did Sega have to leave the hardware race?

1. Mismanagement 2. Consumer Apathy 3. Lack of communication between departments and divisions 4. Too many Chiefs not enough Indians 5. Money - too much going out, not enough coming in 6. Poor third party developer/publisher relations (later years) Sure people can add more to that list as it goes on...

Re: Super Mario series vs Sonic The Hedgehog series

I grew up playing both series, but even though i like Mario and played All Stars on my SNES all the time when i was younger, i always felt Sonic was so much better and a hell of alot cooler at the time, hell i still think that now lol. My favorite Sonic game is Sonic 1 on the SMS, much better than a...

Re: Amiga 1500 video output

No you shouldn't have any problems using this on a HDTV or CRT with the scart cable, you can also use a modulator which plugs into the video out port (same port for scart lead,) but using one of these means taking a substantial hit in picture quality. The modulator is like fuzz-o-vision, a scart lea...

Re: Thoughts on John Carmack leaving Doom

This was inevitable really: there are very few if any old skool developers around today (if any,) that are still owned by the original people who created the them, fewer still (if any,) who still work for them, so Carmack leaving was only a matter of time.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Could be simply down to the software itself and it's not been optimised properly. Hell it would not be the first time a game was put out with glitches Isn't he talking about the Hobbit film though? If it was on the PC i'd say get the mega codec video pack which might sort it out and if it didn't it...
