Re: And still no retroinspection!!!!!

Re: Essential jeff minter games

Attack of the Mutant Camels on the Atari 8bit smashed the C64 version to pieces, Jeff also managed to get some excellent stuff out of the VIC20-especially in the SFX department.

Re: And still no retroinspection part 2!!!!

You want to see a great game-check out the link to Road Hunter on the initial post, the game is obviously influenced by Spy Hunter-I would say it compares favourably with the C64 and Atari 8bit versions and if anything-probably runs a bit faster.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 126

You know, sometimes you have to be a man and admit your mistakes, I now see that issue 126 and all of the preceding issues have been getting steadily better, infact-I would go as far as to say that the current issue is mana from heaven, ambrosia from the gods-it truly is the tome of Gaming perfectio...

Re: And still no retroinspection part 2!!!!

The TI graphics chip (TMS9918/28) was amazing for sprite control but when it came to smooth scrolling it was infamously bad, see Zaxxon on the Coleco or a whole raft of MSX games for reference. It has transpired that it was not as bad as was originally thought and now new games are being developed t...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 126

Nice to see the censorship Nazi's strike again, honestly ladies-if you can't handle truth in all its forms maybe you should consider moderating a thread/site where your fragile sensibilities are not so open to people who don't feel the need to tow a party line. All your actions only reinforce what I...

Re: Save our pubs

Yes-save our pubs from the Hungarian/Romanian menace. Having Romanian family, I can happily say that I have Romanians using the club I run - and they LOVE British Ale (and Jack Daniels!) Yes-but they are simply luring you into a false sense of security whilst they slip Timisoara abd Steja...
