Re: What are you listening to right now?

Going all retro on the music front,

Pink Floyd - Us and Them (live version)from the Pulse tour 1994.

Never really the biggest Floyd fan but this gives me the shivers - truly beautiful.

Yes - Yes, this Journey stuff is all very good - but when will Glee do a cover of Dittohead by Slayer?
Or alternately - when will there be a Naplam Death weekend on the X Factor?

Re: What is retro?

Retro is - A cold winter chill, the smile on a child's face, your first love, the smell of fresh coffee in the morning, the glowing sun on a warm summers day, your first car, a beautiful sunset, a memory of those lost and departed, a thought for world peace, a need to make a difference, to stand alo...

Re: SAM Coupe

I bought one many moons ago, and while it was a decent enough machine - I could not help but wonder what the point of it was?, I had just got my mits on an Amiga and trying to build a comparison between the two was a waste of time - The Amiga won by a mile. I sold mine about 6 months later, to a poo...

Re: From the Forum question for issue 73

Another one for Knightlore here!

Great graphics given the Speccy's limitations - and although the Speccyy's sound was a festering pile of donkey faeces - it was somehow quite good on knightlore.

Re: More Vic 20 in the mag?

Yeah I'm up for some more VIC stuff,

Still have three of the old buggers myself - what the hell is it though with those R.F modulators? If a phuqing mouse broke wind in Zimbabwe - it could still loosen the internal connections!

Re: Odd Stuff

I've got one, complete with super expander, 16k ram pack and cassette deck - also have a few games, it truly was amazing what mattel achieved when they ripped the guts out of the intellivision and stuck it inside a computer case - BUGGER ALL!! I hated the machine from the moment I got it - cant beli...

Re: Does anyone use Apple II's?

The early Apple lines like the II and IIe never really made any impact in the U.K because the were cost prohibitive (try at least twice the price of a BBC B), therefor they only really had any sales impact as business machines. It's not really that there is no market for Apple stuff (check out Ebay ...

Re: The Disappointments

A game close to my heart (Panzer General II) spawned a sequel - funnily enough called - yep -Panzer General 3, How I waited with sweaty palms, how I dreamed of taking on the world yet again. As soon as it was released - I went out and snapped up a copy, got home and installed my new aquisition. upon...

Re: More Hardware reviews ??

I too would like to see a bit more on the hardware side, some good stuff has been mentioned in earlier posts, lets face it most of the hardware add ons we purchased years ago were to make the games playing experience better. Wouldn't mind seeing a feature on game early controllers/joysticks - what c...

Re: Master System Converter questions

Yeah the master system convertor works perfectly well - the only pisser was that it had to be removed if you wanted to use the mega cd unit. (or was that just me?).

Re: Old machines - remade.

There is already a remade C64 (sort of) - The C64 DTV. It's a C64 in a joystick, but can be expanded with other peripherals if you hack it. The only problem is that they ballsed it up and it had a colour defect, which meant that some colours didn't show properly. I'd have got one if they worked. Ye...

Re: Dragon

The Dragon machines were basically rip offs of existing Tandy machines (namely the Color Computer 1), If you see screen shots from Tandy games you will see they exhibit the same horrendous basic colour pallette as the Dragon. That said - the Dragon outsold Tandy's in the U.K by a huge margin - simpl...
