Re: What are you currently playing?

Had a run-through of the hilariously bad Bloodstorm. Did really well until I noticed the final boss had a second form. He just never... ever... stops beating on you.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

RAGE QUITTERS! :x :x :x While playing Sega Rally Online Arcade over PSN for my first time last night the five of us competing in one particular race were having a titanic battle. I fought my way to the front of the pack and with the finishing line in sight... the "host" quit the race. Aaaaargh! OH ...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

You can also argue that emulation harms businesses that focus on retro gaming, ... You could also argue that they steal from us, vastly overcharging for most of their games when we can just get them on the internet for half the price, or for mere scraps at a car boot sale. The only thing they can o...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Wait... I'm confused... It must be hypothetical situation time! Let's say there's a game made in 1993 that's pretty much only available to buy in some obscure second-hand shop for the princely sum of 25p, but it's so far away from me it'll cost me hundreds of pounds to get there. So... I download t...

Now that's not a bad idea at all, infact expand it to all religious texts on the basis that they create division, aggravate social tensions and incite acts of violence.
Amen.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

The trend of people calling some thing basic "Vanilla" I've never understood how 'vanilla' has become synonymous with 'plain'. Vanilla is a flavour that is anything but plain. I'd go as far as to say it's delicious. Why do people persist in using vanilla-flavoured things as a base for other things,...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

The weather right now is just the worst case scenario for me, just short of being in the middle of a tornado or a hurricane I guess. It's effing hot, but raining like there's no tomorrow. So you suffer all the inconveniences of high temperature, combined with not being able to go outside for a drink...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Didn't want to start up a new thread for this, but what things should I watch out for when buying a 3DO (except for not buying one at all, obviously  )? From the bit of research I've done, hardware wise it's best to go for the Panasonic FZ-10 model? I prefer the look of the FZ-1 as I prefer...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Finished the last Harry Potter game for reviewing purposes. It's weird how they went from puzzle games to third person shooters. On the whole it wasn't ghastly, but very forgettable.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Some of them do :) And yep. That's cultural differences for you I guess, eating horse meat is perfectly normal over here. I don't particularly like it though (too sweet for me, it's just... wrong lol). I've heard that it was taboo over there in the UK and to be honest it's weird since a horse is gen...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I - like others - don't eat the stuff simply because I meat doesn't appetise me in the slightest but people like that make us all look like nutters. Ha, loads of veggies say that. Then tuck into their fake sausages and fake bacon and shepherd's pie made with fake mince. If veggies find meat so unap...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I've actually been having a lot of fun recently with Street Fighter IV: Volt on the iPad. It's a cracker of a game for the €0.79 I paid for it on launch. It has challenges (which I completed in 1 sitting), achievements, survival mode, titles, icons, ... loads to do for such a small price. It's a hu...
