Re: Retro Gamer 167

Going forward we're looking at getting conversion capers in every section of the magazine when a game features multiple systems. You'll hopefully start seeing that implemented from issue 170 onwards. Yes please My only concern is that it might start to look a little samey as I'd imagine most game-b...

2600 for me. I really didn't like the Master System.

Re: console battle QUARTER FINAL R2 VECTREX VS SNES

Completely different reasons for voting for each console! SNES - my mate had one and we had a few good laughs... I've never owned a Vectrex (wish I had one) but having played on them many times, it is just such a cool little bit of kit.

Vectrex gets my vote.

Re: console battle QUARTER FINAL R4 NINTENDO Wii VS XBOX 360

That's a bloody hard choice. The 360 is a fantastic bit of kit and has sat under the TV for a long time for the kids to play on... BUT the Wii was just so different and I'd say has been used 80% more than the 360.

So I have to say the Wii.

Re: The Rise and Fall of Command & Conquer

C&C as a series was fantastic - up to Generals. But yeah, RA and RA2 were brilliant multiplayer games.
TA took over for me though - but that was just one game (I don't count Kingdoms as it was a bit naff!).
Will watch the vid later.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Yeah, roadworks are a pain in the feking backside. They have just close a small road in Poole - but this particular small section of a small road is a route for a number of busses and, as it now seems a major road for all traffic in and around the town. It is a nightmare with tailbacks all across th...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I watched Rings last night, 3rd entry into the American series. Absolutely love everything to do with the Ring franchise and this was...pretty good? It was watchable, had some genuinely tense moments but was dragged down by it's efforts to set-up an unnecessary prequel/back-story. Glad I didn't bot...

Re: Formula 1 2017 thread

Great start and first 2 corners. The rest of the race was almost painful to watch. Hamilton on the radio moaning endlessly all race, 3 to 4 seconds gap between EVERY FECKING CAR for pretty much the whole race, only overtaking was done in the pits and the only viable possible overtake was destroyed b...

Re: Real Ale Drinkers or Lagerboys?

Sainsbury's are very good for non-larger beers. I like most of the Shepherd Neme and Badger Beers range; Whitstable Bay Organic and Blandford Flyer are two of my favourites. I'm always trying new beers though; the Sharps range has been nice so far, though the packaging is quite bland. It's funny th...

Not sure if Merc are sandbagging or genuinely struggling out there... The laps Hamilton put in were a complete mess!

Vettel for Pole....
