Re: Borderlands 2

Early days but I'm enjoying it plenty, a few giggles, a few stupid moments and guns that become grenades when you're running low on ammo and need to reload. Going to take a while to understand the class changes but playing as a gunzerker at the moment. Will be especially interesting when dual wieldi...

Re: Movie plot holes

Just found another good one, in planet of the apes (the god awful 2001 remake) all the apes descended from the apes on the ship that crash landed, that's fine, but where did the horses come from? Also not really a plot hole, but what the hell was the ending about? How did Thade get to Earth and con...

Re: The BBFC ruined your childhood (riddled with spoilers)

All this might be another reason why The Simpsons has gone down the tubes - they can't risk putting in jokes that might get cut in syndication. Each episode made in the last 7 years or so is about two minutes shorter than ones made in the early 90s - cut the swears and other near-the-knuckle stuff,...

Re: The BBFC ruined your childhood (riddled with spoilers)

We're up to three episodes with it in now then as it's certainly in Trash of the Titans. Just type Mr Burns and the aforementioned word into youtube. It's in the end credit scetch with the band on a plane home from the gig. I believe it's also used during Homers stage invasion. Either way they clear...

Re: The BBFC ruined your childhood (riddled with spoilers)

Yes yes, and there was also a Simpsons shown on Channel 4 at 6pm that said "wa n kers" twice! There's another episode where they said "sh1te" but that got cut out next time it was on (Fraudcast news). Which episode was that one in? Guessing it was Groundskeeper Willie who said it? I believe it's be...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Another of the Hunger Games viewers here. Very little suspense (George Martin may have spoilt me in this...) but decent enough film which I can't quite understand the sheer popularity of. It didn't give a "must see" global trend leader vibe to me.

Re: 2012/13 Football season chat

Just lost to Stevenage 2-1 , again we took the lead by a great McGoldrick goal, but thrown the game away. On a good point, that will end the calls for Shaw to get the job full time...on a bad point, Steve Staunton was in the stands today. Really Really, don't want Staunton to get that job. Stevenag...

Re: The BBFC ruined your childhood (riddled with spoilers)

Search YouTube for "Worst TV Edits". I was actually quite surprised last night. I thought I knew Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade inside out (my personal favourite of the series), but was caught by surprise. At the scene where they've escaped on the motorbike and sidecar, and they stop at the roa...

Re: FIFA 13

Until Pro Evo bring in the opportunity to play as "The Super Kings of Broadhall Way" (Stevenage to most sane people) I'll stick with the FIFA games. It's a little thing but playing the games over the years FIFA has been to me the better game, things like complaining about being unable to play a poss...

Re: What are you currently playing?

After ages without touching it picked up Brutal Legend again, forgot how much fun it was, there are repetetive bits but the story is good without taking itself too seriously, loads of little in jokes and things like that. Even don't dislike the RTS bits but do feel that they're out of place and take...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Just finished with Shark Night, typical cheap b movie horror stuff. Over the top creepy hillbillies, females wearing as little as humanly possible, people of ethnic minorities who ypu know aren't going to see out the film and of course, sharks that make the one on the Jaws ride look convincing. It's...

It doesn't feel like it's that old. I guess I was only watching from later series, that makes it just under 3 years younger than me! Used to love this though and didn't appreciate the reruns on Challenge anywhere near enough...

Re: Dr Who something bugged me

I'm already being bugged by the next episode... Can't stand the delivery of "dinosaurs... On a spaceship" on the adverts. I'm hoping it's just the way it's cut but it sounds so artificial and stilted it jars me for some reason.

Re: The Warriors...

Just found out it is indeed a book based on the ancient Greek story, decided I'm going to pick up both of those now to go alongside the DVD. It's a great film that while stylised and "of an era" the basic theme lasts really. It's just a good chase movie, and I loved the different images of the gangs...

Re: New Skyrim DLC Sept 4th

PS3 user and not really had problems at all. My Skyrim game lost the save once when I stupidly decided to over write it and the disk cracked when I rather stupidly dropped the PS3 on to it but as far as the game goes I've not really been hit by it and that's despite having it since day of release, I...
