Re: Bittersweet Endings *SPOLIER ALERT*

The original Super Mario Bros when you beat it one time through.... also Ghosts n Goblins on the NES... both games required multiple play throughs which to me was bittersweet. Of course the time to go through both twice isn't even close to a game nowadays...

Re: SNES and Megadrive games similar to Link to the Past?

Secret of Mana 2 has not only a translation and a 3-Player hack!

Forgot about Landstalker which is a great one, also Brain Lord was the last ARPG I was playing, great one for sure.

Also, all the Ys games are pretty awesome and some are more Zelda-like than others.

I played through Little Samson the other day in a little under 2 hours. However that boss rush at the end is a

Re: Pictures of my entire Megaman Collection

So I noticed that I have a couple Mega Man things that you don't.... or at least don't have shown or I skimmed over them. First off I saw you had a few of the Mega Man figures from the TV show, however you had series 2. I have had the series 1 figures since I was a kid. Mega Man, Proto Man, Cut Man,...

Re: SNES and Megadrive games similar to Link to the Past?

Great thread! There are tons of games that are similar to LttP. Have you played BS Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets? That's essentially the sequel.

Also Story of Thor had a sequel for the Saturn I believe.

Another great SFC ARPG that has been translated is Alcahest. It's one of my favs

Who here remembers Brain Lord on the SNES?

I completely forgot I had this game in my collection and actually picked up a second copy! This game is a pretty amazing Action-RPG and so far the difficulty level is a bit on the even side. Gotta love good 'ol Enix games before Square put the taint on them.

I have written an article on how to clean rusty games and I use Dragon Warrior III as an example. Do you want to include it in your magazine?

I also ordered mine a day or 2 late from the e-mail. Do you think we'll ever get our games?

Re: 360 becoming retro

I initially read this thinking it would be about how the 360 is becoming retro through its Indie games or something. The console itself? That's a joke! I am with the lot of you that the PS1 and N64 just now is becoming retro in my eyes. The Dreamcast is a stretch but I'll allow it. :D Oh and M$ M$ M...

Re: Has anyone ever given up collecting?

I've tried thinning out my collection as well. Instead of collecting anything and everything I've narrowed every system down to essentials. Anything non-essential I also sold off, however I still have tons and tons of games as there are a lot of great ones. Here is how I mitigate things. I don't spe...
