Re: Speccy Compendium book

Not bought much Retro anything in a while, this does look like it will tickle my fancy.

The little things like the A-Z characters and the 4 colour book marks set it apart somewhat.

Re: Retro Gamer issue 149

Re: Paris under attack

I am just wondering how this turned out to be a debate on gun control in America. That would be my fault. But forget America, the concept of armed cilivilans anywhere is hardly off topic when discussing cities under attack. I don't think it is anyones fault, firearms were involved in the murdering ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 147 - Feedback

Apologies for the non feedback post, but has everybody got their subs copy yet?

Thought it might have been my DD not going through (bank change) but that is all ok. Also GamesTM arrived around when it should, so maybe my postie is into Retrogaming?

Re: Scanning a book

I'll set myself up for abuse with some possibly stupid suggestions: 1) Can you get some good handheld scanners these days? I found an old amiga one in a pile of stuff the other day, though I have never used one. Would take a long time and repeatability could be an issue. 2) With digital cameras in p...

You didn't mind that everyone was short and fat? You're from Aberdeen, you must be used to seeing it by now  Being the Cheap plastic horrible City I imagined it to be like stepping into Minecraft. I was somewhat dissapointed. Awesome the word "Gran1te" is still filtered, it makes my post e...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 145

Best of all was the character/party editor, whereby you could duplicate pretty much any item between your characters! So from the default party in the game, you could pinch the Fire Horn and dupe it several times to make those lower level battles a bit more bearable... This was probably the only wa...

Re: Black Monday

Blip. China's economy couldn't continue to rise forever. Yes, it appears that China's rapid growth really ceased a few years back and they've been cooking the books since. The question is whether their economy is generally in good shape, and only a readjustment is required, or whether it's going to...

Re: Let's talk about booze.

I can appreciate how people can enjoy Whiskey and the difference between blends malts etc. Its probably the one short that makes me physically sick, and its a psycological thing. When I was young 8-9 I think we visited my Brother in Scotland and went to a Glenfiddich brewery. My Dad enjoyed it too m...

Re: What's your Tablet?

Hudl 2, used a Gift card and double up vouchers, only cost me about £40 of my own money.

Can't fault it, not the best, but by no means the worst on the market. Mainly used for gaming, actually about the only thing I use for gaming now. :?

Re: Let's talk about booze.

There has been some interesting points raised here from personal experience or otherwise and appreicate peoples responses. The main reason I mentioned my own personal drinking habits was at some level I am concerned that its regular drinking all be it in moderate quantities. I did have a scare a whi...

Re: Let's talk about booze.

Pantal00ns, I'm not an expert on alcoholism. I can only speculate whereas I think you probably know the real answer to that question. I suspect your consumption of alcohol is little different from many people in the UK. I guess the angle I was coming from is that I think addiction doesn't just mean...
