Re: Can you afford to collect

I don't think I would have been able to collect everything I have now if I was buying it at current prices. I have about 20 Game & Watches, some boxed, have only bought one of them in the last few years - which was a lucky find, a boxed 'Helmet' for NZ$2 in a charity shop.

Re: The Retro Game Image Thread - share your pictures

'Aztec' for the Apple II, my favourite game for the system. I made an entry for it on the Retro Gamer page a while ago:

Plants vs Zombies 2...

Anyone tried this yet? I kind of don't want to, since EA has turned it into a "freemium" game....

Re: Capcom XBL sale - 'Arcade Cabinet' complete pack half pr

Hi all, Just spotted this post about the Capcom Arcade Cabinet. It was on my radar when it was first released, but was a little too expensive. However, now that it's half price I'm all over this. I wonder if someone could just clarify as the wording on Capcom's description seems a little ambiguous ...

Re: The Retro Game Image Thread - share your pictures

Great idea for a thread! I have a bunch of Apple II games that I don't think have many packaging images online, so I'll post them when I get the chance.

Picked up Final Fantasy VIII and IX cheap in a charity shop, both complete, in good condition, and the original releases not the "platinum" versions.

Re: Assassins Creed II free download for 360 Gold Members

I cant see myself ever playing this so will pass despite it being free. Got over half way through the first before i gave up. Such a bore. Looked great and had a great number of ideas, but it became repetitive very quickly. Cant quite see how they have released so many since, churning out one every...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Starting to get into Far Cry 3, also have picked up Fallout 3 in the Steam sale. Already sunk 200+ hours into it on Xbox 360, but it was only a few dollars and I'm keen to try some of the mods. My rather outdated laptop manages to run it ok on low graphics settings.

Re: Will 'Low polygon' graphics be the next 'retro' look.

Would Resident Evil count? I booted it up a year or so ago and nearly passed out with laughter at the zombie dog that comes through the door if you try and leave the mansion? I think (for a doss) I could be convinced to have a razz on something like that ..... with better controls of course. Not as...

Re: Seems like the final PS2 game will be in September...

So no Wii U version but the PSP of all things does get FIFA 14? Jesus. What I don't get about EA's treatment of the Wii U (and the Dreamcast before it) is that they'll happily stick with a failing format when it suits them. They put a lot of resources into developing for 3DO and even N-Gage. The or...

the reviews were good from what I remember but you never see it mentioned in the RPG type threads.
It's a great game but I'd recommend getting the "Ultimate Edition" disc version which shouldn't be that expensive.
