Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

My gaming purchases over the last few weeks have all been for the PS3. Saw God of War III cheap so bought that and have ordered the HD collection of the first two PS2 games and another HD collection: ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection . I saw Resident Evil 6 for a reasonable price today so thou...

Re: Angry Video Game Nerd the movie

I have watched all of the AVGN episodes and clearly the time of cinematic style episodes is over, as he is busy with his family and other interests. A recent episode did make me laugh - Ikari Warriors - only because of the 'where did the hair go' song. The nerd episodes where he is with another pers...

Re: Your Favourite Games in a 3X3 Grid

DPinney is that Golfing Greats in yours? if it is? Awesome game. Ewww no. Neo Turf masters, could've had it twice as NeoGeo pocket version. My favourite golf game. Loved it in the arcade and the NGPC version is really good too, even if they did omit a course. I managed to get all the special clubs ...

I already have the XBLA version, but was not aware that it came out as a retail disc release on PS£, so just ordered it.
Did you buy the Limited Edition set? More here. :)

You can emulate the Speccy on virtually any PC (some earlier emulators worked okay on a 386).

Re: Did you complete any arcade games?

Go on then, I'll list some of the games I could 1cc that were (IMO) good achievements: Ghouls 'n Ghosts Shadow Dancer Quartet (It loops and you lose twice as much health when second time round - I could play it for hours on 20p) Vulcan Venture (loops and the difficultly ramps up) Dragon Breed Forgot...

Re: Did you complete any arcade games?

Back in the day, I used to be able to 1cc dozens of coin-ops (off the top of my head I can think of forty or so, and there are many more). Far too many to list, but I remember playing two player with someone on Ghouls 'n Ghosts . I was player one, and I completed it on my first life. The poor chap h...

I'm glad you found out what it was. If you had said that it had both vertical and horizontal scrolling sections, that would have narrowed it down a lot! :)

That looks better than the remake, as Doom clones go.

Re: Looking to build a database of retro game stores

Like everyone else has said, I think this is a very good idea! In Liverpool, there's Level Up - not the biggest shop in the world but the stuff they sell is very reasonably priced! http://www.leveluponline.co.uk/ They were selling a Mario Bros/ Duckhunt for £10 That link is dead. Is the shop still ...

I too was expecting it to be a HD remake of Shadow Warriors. I skipped through the YT link above and well, let's just say it isn't for me.
