Re: New highly impressive CPC game
Those 3D car models in the intro screen are definitely just pre-rendered bitmaps. It's an impressive look, but tends to eat up a lot of RAM. I'm guessing that it's going to be a 128K only game, maybe even a multiload from disk or requiring some sort of RAM expansion. Edit: Looks like it's a cartrid...

Re: Discuss: Spectrum vs Amstrad Gaming
I owned a ZX Spectrum first then switched to the CPC. At the end of the day the Speccy will always be my first love, home as it was to many of the early classics from Ultimate, Hewson Consultants, Beyond etc. I bought a CPC second hand with a colour monitor and aesthetically it just seemed a step up...

Probably the following;
Jetpac - ZX
Cobra - ZX
Chuckie Egg - ZX
Green Beret - ZX
Lightforce - ZX
3D Starstrike - ZX
Bounty Bob Strikes Back - ZX
Mikie - ZX
Hypersports -ZX
Spy vs Spy - ZX (would’ve placed higher if I could find another player to play against.)

Re: Change one thing?
For the PS1, it would be the texture/geometry warping, otherwise it was pretty much perfect.
The Speccy could’ve done with a graphics chip for hardware scrolling but it made great coders due to the lack of one, Joffa Smith being a fine example.

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours
As long as it was done with progress , not pandering , in mind then give her a chance. I'm more shocked as I just don't think she's that good an actress from what I've seen. I won't actively seek out new episodes when they eventually air. Much the same as with Capaldi I shall let everyone else enjo...

Re: BBC star salaries
Is the BBC salary debacle really proof of misogyny and the patriarchy? No, not really. Before now, no one at the BBC knew what each other was getting in wages. They all negotiated a contract which they themselves thought was fair and agreed to sign up to. Everyone has a value. The person themselves ...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 170
I'm compelled to complain too. The articles with black backgrounds are unreadable. I don't know what happened with the printing in this issue but I hope it's the last time it occurs. Poor show.

Re: What are you currently playing?
Still plugging away at Overwatch , I get the horrible feeling I'm becoming worse at this game as time goes on. But the reveal (finally) of Sombra has me pretty excited, she looks excellent. Yeah, I haven't stopped plugging away at Overwatch since I got it. Don't get discouraged though, since my Ski...

The five which spring to mind are;
Jetpac
Spy vs Spy
Quazatron
Underwurlde
Cobra
I'm certain that I've forgotten a load though.

Re: What are you currently playing?
Overwatch, Overwatch and more Overwatch. Well chuffed tonight as I got three POTG's as Mercy in just over an hours play. Probably should be more sociable though than just solo queuing, but hey ho. Looking forward to the new support Ana. I'm not good at sniping but it appears that you don't need to ...

Re: What are you currently playing?
Overwatch , trying to get good with Widowmaker, much to my Group's mirth. Seriously hyped for Ranked, and the news of the Torb nerf is really welcome. Played my second ranked match today. We won the first round comfortably, then as we were about to defend the Japan stage I was disconnected leaving ...

Re: What are you currently playing?
Yeah I like the look of Symettra. Quite a technical character and a little unorthodox but she's certainly a someone I'd like to master sometime soon.Sel Feena wrote:^ Can never go wrong with a good Mercy or Lucio! Been trying to play more Symettra, love finding sneaky places to put turrets
