I saw a copy of Vic Men by Bug Byte go for £51 on e-bay last week. Might be worth looking to see if any of you have a copy lurking somewhere!

I still can't get it to work. The games that saved the scores in the arcades still do on Mame, eg Pole Position, Track n Field etc but the FAQ states that you can save the high scores on games that didn't save them in the arcades. Thats the bit I can't work out how to do!

Did anyone ever complete all the Adventure International Series? As far as I can recall I completed Adventureland, Pirates Cove, Voodoo Castle & The Count but Mission Impossible was er, impossible! I'd get so far then there would be an explosion for no apparent reason and that would be that!

I know this isn't really the point of this thread but can someone help? I have used Mane32 for ages now but I can't work out how to get the games to save the high scores. I have downloaded the hiscore.dat file but where do I put it? It's driving me round the bend! If you can keep the explanation as ...

First computer game played was a TV Pong console. First arcade game was Space Invaders. I can't play it now but back then it was simply awesome. Then I played Outlaw on my mates Atari VCS and nagged my parents until they bought me my own VCS. I then owned a Spectrum and a Vic 20. Penetrator and Craz...

Space Harrier.Ok it was slightly fun to sit in the cabinet but without it, it's such a dull dull game. I never liked Atic Atac / Sabre Wulf / Knight Lore etc. Good graphics, shame about the games. Of the newer games, Gran Turismo bores me rigid. I just don't see the attraction!

Hmm. Biggest disappointments. World Cup Carnival at £9.95 on the Spectrum just wasn't funny. Super Soccer was no better either. Pac Man on the Atari VCS was a disaster. I spent all my savings on it and wouldn't admit to myself how bad it was at first. After 24 hours the realisation I had thrown £3...

I remember the old scratch cards from the 80's. I have an old bike rusting somewhere in my garage covered in Pac Man stickers that came out the packets!

Jetpac & Arcadia are both better on the Vic than the Speccy.

I'd love to see a VIC 20 feature. It always gets overlooked in favour of the C64 or the Amiga. Even on the web there isn't that much info about it, yet in 1983 at my school it was probably only 2nd to the Spectrum in popularity. There were loads of great games for it, including the best version of A...

Bewitched & Johnnie Jumpjet were fun games. As were Wacky Waiters & Catcha Snatcha.

VIC 20 - Best Games

My favourites were Blitz, Chariot Race, Radar Rat Race & Voodoo Castle. What were yours?
