Re: HMRC ebay

You are not currently buying the trading cards with the intention to make a profit, it would be pretty easy for you to demonstrate that you are a collector and not selling off everything you buy, only the excess stuff you don't need. The videogames have no direct link to the trading cards and would ...

Re: HMRC ebay

There are various factors involved when HMRC look at whether a business is being operated, these being "badges of trade". For example, are you seeking to make a profit, how many transactions have there been, the interval between buying and selling an item, how and when it was bought and sold, have y...

Re: HMRC ebay

I work for HMRC and this isn't new. HMRC have had a specialist section dealing with ebay for some time now and software is used to interrogate ebay transactions. Selling your collection off isn't going to arouse any interest, believe me. They go for the worst offenders, not people trying to make a f...

Re: What are you looking forward too in 2017?

It has to be Shenmue 3. I've just completed the first one again and am nearly halfway through the second. I've been playing it with my 11 year old daughter and she loves it, she wasn't even born the last time I completed it!

Re: Mario coming to phones, iOS first in 2016.

I've bought the full game and I'm enjoying it for what it is and it passes the time on my daily commute to London. I used to pay more than £8 for some Spectrum games, 30 years ago. It's not really that bad a price for a fair few hours of fun is it?

Re: Grandslam Entertainment?

They wrote International Cricket on the Spectrum, one of my favourite games at the time that I still play sometimes. And it was given away free with Your Sinclair as well!

Re: Nintendo Discontinuing Wii U from this Friday

I bought a Wii U for my daughters a few years ago at their request, fully expecting it to gather dust next to the TV. To my surprise, we have played it constantly ever since and I have really enjoyed it. The one big disappointment for me was Mario Kart 8, which graphics apart, was not a patch on the...

Re: Keith Vaz

[quote="che_don_john"]I'm surprised no one has yet punned on his 'Manhunt' yet... I'm always of the opinion that what people get up to in their own time is no-one's business. I can't see how such stories like this are in the public interest as he's not actually done anything illegal or (in this case...

Re: Labour Election Results

So much for a different kind of politics, Jeremy has shot himself in the foot with this misguided bit of spin. What an idiot.

Re: Paris under attack

Do you actually know many Muslims Seph? Enough to know the majority are being targeted for abuse and hate crimes? Or have you just read that in The Guardian? I work in Newham, East London, with many, many Muslims and I've not heard ANY once say they have been targeted at all, to me, or anyone. But t...

Re: UK Nes original owners

I never knew a single person who owned a NES. Everyone I knew had Spectrums or C64's, then later moved onto Amiga's or Atari ST's. They made precisely zero impact on me and even now, my interest in them is very limited.
