Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

Every once in a while the stars and planets align and I become interested in purchasing a driving game. Once a generation is the rule of thumb. Trackmania Turbo is looking good for this gen's candidate. I like what I've seen of it. It could be ... The One. There's an open beta starting tomorrow for...

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

Blizzard's much hyped team based shooter Overwatch has been given an official release date of may 24th. "Teamwork is essential", apparently, which counts me out. I don't mind online stuff but if you can't lone wolf it effectively among the randoms I'm not interested. I'm thinking the Destiny lovers...

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. I got the first one on PC for a few quid as part of a Humble Bundle and it has been my go-to game for the last year whenever I have just wanted to mess around for 30-40 minutes. Now I have the sequel for my XB1 and it is a superb game. The level layout is excell...

Re: Street fighter V

I love the game (most fun Street Fighter in terms of online) but the matchmaking sucks for me. Takes me minutes to find any matches and I can't figure out why. And since there is little else to do in the game, I'm basically stuck at this stage. Pity as I want to enjoy the game, but until I can conn...

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

Does that mean you can join up, work together towards a common goal ... and at any point one or more players in the group can turn on the rest of the group and make off with the earned goodies? That's a complete gamekiller if that's what you're saying. It's an absolutely toxic feature unless you ca...

Re: Mafia III

Only big issue I have with the game is that it looks like they are abandoning the more grounded take on road laws and driving that the first two games had. I've seen demos of Mafia III where you are blowing the crap out of cars in massive city shootouts while driving, with no sign of the cops. Whil...

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

A friend gave me a code for The Division beta that's been running this weekend and it's totally bowled me over. It's pretty much the game I wanted Destiny to be! The post-pandemic New York setting is interesting, dense and full of atmosphere. The gun play feels really solid with the loot drops makin...

Re: Help Finding A PS1 Magazine

There is a PlayStation Power cover that is similar to what you describe but I think I remember getting the FF7 guide from that mag as a separate book that came with it, not printed inside. I could be wrong though as it was a long time ago!

Re: The XBOX ONE / PS4 discussion thread

The Witcher 2 is currently free for the next week or so and is XB1 backwards compatible. Its not featured on the 360 dashboard so you have to search for it. Is anyone else having trouble downloading this on the Xbox One? It's not on the XB1 store. You have to get from either the store on a 360 or t...

Tekken Tag 2 was a nice suprise and apparently it runs very well. Still waiting for Black Ops though!

Started watching series 1 again last night and I'd forgot that Clarkson was the original host.
