Re: From the forum question for issue 66

Putting aside my playground hatred of Amstrads, Professional Ski Simulator on the CPC464 looked gorgeous and played a great two player game.

Re: Hot Topic - Best Dizzy Adventure

Treasure Island Dizzy all the way for me. I loved the presentation of the game - especially the loading screen. I bought it for the spectrum, and I liked it so much I bought it for the Amiga too. Also I think the difficulty was pitched just right. It was hard with one life, but not impossible, and i...

Re: Whats the longest you have had a game without playing it?

I have a habit of buying games and never giving them more than an hour. Think I can probably count on one hand the number of games i've actually finished in the last 2 yrs. Maybe I'm just rubbish at games... :? No, I'm the same. I love level one of pretty much anything, but most games seem to play ...

Re: Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor

A rummage through the World of Spectrum forum for 'concerto' turned up this thread: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3805 which reveals it was used as the title theme for the Artic Computing game Mutant Monty: Great work! I remember this slightly odd Manic Miner like affair - ...

Re: Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor

But In the Hall of the Mountain King isn't the same piece as the Piano Concerto in A Minor, so i'm still looking for an answer. :(

Thanks though!

Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor

Hi, So I've had this tune in my mind for a few days now after seeing the Karcher power cleaner advert on the telly-box the other day. I'm a 99% positive this tune was once used in a ZX Spectrum game but I can't think which. Can anyone help? I hope I'm not imagining it! It is a lovely piece of music ...

Re: Official feedback for Issue 63

I have to say it, but the artcle on Archer Mclean was fascinating, what an interesting character. The interviews with these old coders is one of the major selling points of the magazine for me. Definitely keep these coming!

Re: Official feedback for Issue 63

It's in preperation for next issue. The news/debate section is going back to its original 12 pages, so I didn't want to have lots and lots of pages before you got to the feature. Letter's are more community anyway, so it makes sense to put them with the homebrew. Maybe, but since time immemorial it...

Operation Wolf on Sega Master System with light phaser. Brilliant fun with the grenades controlled by my foot from the dpad connected to the second port.

Re: Official feedback for Issue 63

Hi there, first post, been reading the magazine for a bout a year now - can't believe I didn't know of Retro Gamer before hand! Brilliant issue, but I was just a tad dissapointed with the Skool Daze piece: just a bit lacking in any really interetsting info. I'd LOVE to see a making of Skool Daze and...
