Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?

I saw a video on how you can hook up your old consoles and play them in Cinema mode (looks like you're playing them on a huge cinema screen). You just need a box to convert your console to output in HDMI. Don't know how playable they would be, but i'd like to experience that some time! That would b...

Mine had some bad printing on a few pages, too. It doesn't normally happen.

Re: Video game documentaries?

I watched it earlier, and I was shocked to see it was only about an hour long. I was expecting at least 1:40, and hoping for 2 hours. My name was also missing from the list of backers, and I wasn't the only one. He should have got us to check that, as other Kickstarter projects often do. After about...

Re: The Babylon 5 thread

B5 is one of my favourite shows.

I have it all on DVD, and I've seen the films and spin-offs.

Any scenes with G'Kar and Londo are usually excellent.

Re: Soldiers - the ones you eat with eggs

Until last night I'd never heard of toasted soldiers. It had never crossed my mind that it was even a thing. We looked it up and the wiki page says" "It seems likely that it was either popularised or invented in 1965 in a series of TV Commercials for eggs starring Tony Hancock and Patricia Hayes." T...

Soldiers - the ones you eat with eggs

So, a debate is going on here. Me, my Brother and Dad are one one side, and my Brother's wife is on the other side.

The question:

Do you have soldiers as bread or toast?

Re: RIP <Insert celebrity>

I've just heard about Carrie  Not even The Force was strong enough to beat 2016. This morning when the radio came on to get me up, the news started and I was thinking "Who will be the one to die today, and I got someone from The Royale Family", then layer it was the guy who wrote Watership Down...

Re: Where does "Retro" end?

This has been discussed a LOT, but for me, retro is before it all went 3D. After that, it's all pretty much the same as now, but the graphics were worse. So the main systems I think of as retro are the VCS, Vic 20, C64, Spectrum, and Amiga.

Re: The64 - Computer And Handheld Console

It's not really aimed I me as I have two C64s with a 1541 drive and an SD card reader. Plus emulation. There's no reason I would want one.

Re: What are you looking forward too in 2017?

From that list, the only ones that I'm interested in are: Resident Evil VII - I've played almost all the RE games. Wipeout Omega - Never been a fan, but interested to see what they do. Shenmue III - Never played one, but I'd like to see what the new one is like. The Bards Tale IV - I played the firs...

Probably the Dead Space games. They had excellent design, and a great story.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I've been watching some of S3 of Black Mirror. Ep. 1 - Pretty good. Ep. 2 - Game related, very good. Ep. 3 - Another very good one. Ep. 4 - Ermm, THE EIGHTIES! A massive nod to Flynn's Arcade (Tron), A GTA reference, Bubble Bobble (and others), a bit 'Tech Noir', and a track list, which includes the...
