Re: c64 question

Little Computer People was made for disk. I doubt I'd have bought it if it was only available on tape, as it would be starting again each time you loaded it, and I expect it would have a different LCP each time.
I never played the tape version, so I'm not sure how it compares.

Re: Bill Paxton RIP

I just heard about this 15 mins ago. Really sad and unexpected news.

He's been in some of my favourite films, including my top two (Aliens and The Terminator). He was great in Weird Science and many others, too.

Re: Hidden & Dangerous series on GoG.com

I used to play the free first game with someone at work at dinner times over the network. It was okay, but from what I remember the controls were a bit clunky.

I've never played the others.

Re: What Happened to the article "30 Years of Amiga 500"

Rise of the Amiga (which is the 30-year celebration article), is in the next issue of Retro Gamer :) Hope you all look forward to it, Kim Justice has done a cracking job and the delay allowed for more interviews. I'm looking forward to it :) I don't mind waiting an extra month if it's going to be a...

Re: Discuss Section - 166

I've never been much of a console fan. Apart from the VCS I've only had the four Playstations. One of the PS models, as they were/are all excellent in their day. I can't really pick one.

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours

I've watched every Dr. Who since I was old enough to watch TV (sometime in the mid '70s probably), but if they choose a woman as the Doctor I may actually boycott it. I don't want a one legged female black Chinese lesbian Doctor. It's supposed to be a white British male actor thank you very much. I ...

Re: From The Forum issue 166 - First Amiga Encounters

I remember this well. It was at the Saltburn Community Hall and the System 2000 Computer Club (of which I was a member, along with a school friend and our Computer Studies teacher) did a demo of it. We were all sat on chairs and the Amiga 1000 was on a small table in front of us, like being on a ped...

Re: Hyper Sentinel

There's a new kickstarter for this, and a free demo for everyone. I've been playing it on the PC and it's much better with proper controls. I've got the third highest score at the moment :-) I'd pay £10, but £15 is a bit much when the iOS and Android versions are only £4 (which includes an eBook or ...

Pah! 1.2 is the original A500, like mine. These modern 1.3 ones will work with pretty much anything, though  Just avoid the A1200 AGA games, or as mentioned, the memory expansion ones, if it doesn't have that.

Re: Upgrade path for home computers

Vic-20 - My first computer. The computer teacher at school had one, we used Commodore PETs, so it seemed the obvious choice. It had colour and sound, so was better than the ZX81 I'd seen at a friends house. My best friend at school had on, too, though I can't remember if we both got one at the same...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 163

Dodgy printing in some of the last pages of mine - the colours are mis-aligned on maybe 8 pages towards the back. Mine had some bad printing on a few pages, too. It doesn't normally happen. Did you get it on the last page ( Cho Aniki endgame), and the right-hand half of the Mercenary spread? It's n...
