I'm a bit confused about people getting NTSC versions. For a start, why are they sold here, since we use PAL and as mentioned, they don't work for everyone? Secondly, with a PAL version being available, why would people choose the version with crap quality video?

Are they cheaper?

All of the above is why it is one of my favourite games of all time. It's as though it was made for me personally :D

I love it.

My favourite Depeche Mode album would have to be "The Best of Depeche Mode"......
But which one? The 81-85, or 86-98 one? I'd go for the latter.

That was one of the first good shoot-em-ups I had on my A500. I haven't played it for well over a decade! I must do something about that.

At school, we used BBCs to "secure" a shoe box (with sweets in it), by using mercury switches, light detectors etc. wired up to the Beeb. We then had to get the sweets from another team's box. Good fun.

A friend of mine had an Electron (we used to play Elite on it), and our school had a few BBCs (we used PETs mainly, but a few times we used the Beebs). I don't know anyone who had an Amstrad. Most people at my school had C64s, closely followed by Spectrums. I can understand them focusing more on the...

Driver and Driver 2 both had ludicrously difficult last levels. I managed to do them, but they drove my mad. I think the Driver 2 level might have been more difficult than the last one in Driver. The Last V8 :D I liked that. The music was brilliant, and I remember me and a friend playing that over a...

I actually destroyed a pair of headphones last night after screwing up in Galaga '90.
Says the man who is currently several galaxies ahead of most of us in the Galaga league!

I wish I could screw up that badly

Your score is about 7 times higher than most submitted scores!

Anyone remember the ZZAP! 64 megatape with demos of Revenge II, Last Ninja, The Day the Universe Died and of course the Sanxion music on the B side?
Yep. The most memorable cover tape ever, for me.

I'm actually listening to Thalamusic right now. :D I sampled it from the tape a few years ago.

My favourite is either Ultra or Songs of Faith and Devotion.

Never seen them live.

I currently have Playing the Angel and the 3 disc remix set in my car. I prefer the remixes to Playing the Angel.

I love DM, but I much prefer their older stuff (SoFaD, Violator, Ultra etc). Exciter was boring, but the new one is better, just not enough loud rocky songs for me.

I might check out the new TfF album. I didn't know there was one. I love their old stuff.

C64. Always.

When I was at school there were only two sides to this: Commodore v's Sinclair. I should try some Amstrad games as they look similar to the C64.

It doesn't seem to be a popular opinion on the forums, but I also like hardware info. The computers are as important as the games, so I would be happy to see more technical stuff. I don't think it will happen though.
